Kamala Harris has never gotten a single fricking vote on a national level, so they weren’t given this choice. The last time the Democrats did was in 2008, and even then they forced Obama to make Hillary his SoS by showing him a different angle of the Kennedy assassination.

It's an OpEd... "Opinion Editorial" article... they have those from people on both sides of the political spectrum and everywhere in between...
They usually have one pro and one con on everything.
This one is actually pretty good, and I agree with it:
WaPo: Opinion| When your opponent calls you a 'communist,' maybe don't propose price controls?"
The thing is, people on the left and the right in America want price controls when they get pissed.
How many dumb threads do we have that make it seem like the President sets Oil and Gas prices? Food prices? Car prices?
It's dumb, but it is part of the political discourse, so politicians will say dumb things because nobody wants to listen to an economics lecture and find out there's much more to this stuff.

Been saying this for weeks, with Biden leading the ticket before Harris. This is a landslide in the making if Trump can stay on point, and what's important about that is the prospect of working majorities in congress.
