Tesla model S. Only issues have been tire related. So maybe $1,500 the past couple years?
Currently having a chevelle remodeled. Will probably drop about 30k into it. But it'll be worth 100k

2.5 years, 60k miles. $1100 on tires and alignment, $40 on engine/cabin air filters, ~$400 on oil changes. I normally change my own but they have a Lifetime power train warranty as long as I have the reccomended change intervals logged at a dealership.
Eta: forgot one. $87 last weekend for new brake pads.

More than I want to think about and in need of even more by looking at all these warning lights on the dashboard. Run til failure.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on a transmission flush? I have heard some say not to.
Depends on the vehicle. I've never done one on my Tundra...320k miles. I have a friend who has a Ram and it's just part of the maintenance cycle, according to him.

05 Rubicon
- Oil change (do them myself), battery, brakes (myself), and tires (Goodyear MT's, now Nitto Trail Grapplers)
- put on 80k miles.
- Just replaced all drivetrain fluids: 6speed tranny, xfer case, both differentials (yes I painted the diff covers)
- No issues other than the wear items above (OT - how can this be? Jeep's are POS's??????)

You're putting just 5000 miles a year on your car? Do you have a life?

I’ve had more than a couple $5000 bills from my mechanic…187,000 miles.

WTF are you doing to your tires? I'm at 50k miles and on my 2nd set. Get them rotated every 6k, that's what I do for my M3. My main cost at 6 years was doing the suspension, so $2k.
Sounds like you drive like me. Most people don’t.
Even in the SR, most people don’t get close to 50K on the OEM tires. I’m at 23K and mine are on track to need new tires somewhere in the 40s.

2013, Tundra, 206,000 miles. Bought used in 2017 for $17,000. Replaced the alternator in 2021 for around $600. Other than that nothing but routine maintenance I’d do to any vehicle.

Not to butt in here but I’m a rep for one of the largest tire distributors in North America so I can interject something of value here. The reason why EVs wear out tires 20-30% quicker is not just because of the weight. You have to put specially designed tires that are much softer to minimize road noise. EVs don’t have the roar of an engine so the cabin is super quiet when driving. Regular tires will cause extreme road noise for the driver/passengers. The much softer tires will wear out faster, hence the need for spending more on tire maintenance for EVs.

2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee
173k miles
One set of tires at 90k
A water pump ($300 installed at 160k)
Oil changes at 10k intervals (17 ea. @ ~$100)
24+ mpg so around $20k on fuel
Still has the original windshield and wipers
It’ll be sold within a month, probably replaced with a new GC.

Love how everyone drives boring shitboxes and then praises that they don’t burn through parts…well no shite, you drive a fricking Camry.
Get a vehicle that inspires you to floor it…one that begs you to gas it through curves…you want a car that wears parts…you want to change engine mounts and suspension parts…hell, you want a car that leaks oil after living around the redline. I do.
