2007 Sequoia, 305K miles. Just had the brakes done, about $500. Plus regular oil changes, tires, etc. it has more than paid for itself. My only regret is not buying two of them in 2007 when they were affordable…

Gx460 - couple hundred bucks in oil and filter changes. Set of tires and a battery.
GTR - 25k transmission, 14k engine, and soooooo many set of tires and random other shite. It’s a reverse ATM machine.

2021 X5M $3000. Can’t rotate the tires so they last less than 20k miles and 2 oil changes. Oil changes are about once a year 10k miles and I busted a tire so that was another $500. 23k miles

2023 Tesla M3P $1000 to $1500 in tires. Can’t remember if I replaced 2 or 3 already. Will have to get 4 new tires in the next couple months so that will be another 2k in tires. 23k miles

2022 F250 $700. $500 for oil, fuel filter change and tire rotation. Another $200 for oil change and tire rotation. 18k miles

All three are still under warranty but the 21 will be up soon. I’ll probably look at upgrading the BMW within the next year so I’m not out of warranty.

Timing belt/water pump? I know Toyota recommends it every 90k miles. The 470 is an “interference engine” so belt failure is catastrophic. Always wondered how long it would last if not changed. First generation sequoias (especially the later years from ‘05-07) are ridiculously reliable.

I do want to play around with my 2021 X5M but man if something breaks it’s going to be costly. Think I’d rather trade it and get a 25 model or get out of the performance suv and get that new Lexus suv.

I think I had the timing belt done in 2012 or so. Still original water pump.

WTF are you doing to your tires? I'm at 50k miles and on my 2nd set. Get them rotated every 6k, that's what I do for my M3. My main cost at 6 years was doing the suspension, so $2k.

About 2.5-3 sets of tires each. $900-1600 each time.

Brakes and rotors done on each- $750 per

$1500 maintenance at 100k on one ride. Currently at 118k. (Timing belt, spark plugs, transmission flush.)

Other one- oil changes. About 85k on it

Tires are issues with EVs. Those batteries are very heavy

Good to know. Have a Toyota with 85. Original belt.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on a transmission flush? I have heard some say not to.

Do you have a really slow car or did you upgrade for the faster one?

We've been over this, repeatedly.

The weight difference across vehicles is neglible. It certainly weighs less than my truck, which came on pmetric tires.
