If Will Wade ends up at Ole Miss one day and that is where she ends up then I will know. She loved that dude.

Yeah, those are half the people who go to ULL.

When I went to LSU, if you were a state resident, graduated HS, and took the ACT (didn't matter what score), you were accepted. Mid 1970's.

In the late 90s I think you had to have an 18 ACT and maybe 2.5 GPA? While I was there I think they changed the GPA to 3.0...

This is dad talk from the why has she not gotten into LSU and it has taken forever for them to do anything.

If you think this is bad just wait until she’s emailed her advisor and is waiting for a response.

My son got accepted within a week. Are you sure they got her application? She should maybe follow it up.

Do you have twins/triplets or are you a loser that pretends individuals can use plural pronouns?

Dude read the thread. All good it is late at night. We have done it all and followed basically everything we could do. Glad she has not been rejected and if she gets in I may be able to open inhr mind LSU as an option for her. Currently we are wearing Old Miss hoodies to school and getting hit up by sororities at Ole Miss. A kid gets fd in the head like that. If LSU would have maybe taken care of business earlier she would have never shifted that way in her mind. I mean she only has a month left in her senior year.

If she gets in, break out the checkbook. She’s not getting anything from LSU. No one does. Room and board will be 14K+ her first year. Ole Miss will be significantly cheaper if she has anything close to warranting a scholarship. Ole Miss was 12k cheaper a year for my kid and that’s with the highest TOPS at LSU and 2 other scholarships. Ole Miss was fully paid.

Was not our top choice. This is dad talk from the why has she not gotten into LSU and it has taken forever for them to do anything. It’s all good. We pray about decisions like this on my family. We let God open and close doors on decisions and know without regret where she goes was the right place.

So you wanted her to go to LSU since she was a baby but it wasn’t your first choice?

Take it as a sign. Don't let your kids grow roots here.

Daughter three years out of LSU undergrad. Making six figures. But ok.

Can be done at any flagship state schools engineering program or any schools nursing program if they go the contract work route

About 5 years ago, my oldest son applied to a few schools in Florida, one of which was USF. We paid our application fee and everything, and still never got a decision from USF. Months after he started at another school, I would still go online to check and it still said no decision had yet been made. He graduated from another University last December and I'm still pissed that I paid the application fee and we never got a decision from USF. Through my kids I have dealt with public and private universities, and from my my own time at Texas, I am convinced that 80% of university employees are worthless.

It's been a long time since I applied to a university. Now with kids on the cusp of high school, about how early is the safe bet to apply?

For us, LSU was the last to respond, and offered no scholarships. Very late, after my kid had already committed to another school. We did not fit the demographic they are pushing.

We had sizable offers from better schools, so moved on.

Ever heard of she or her?
Are you woke? Or just brainwashed?

Ok, well your reply made it seem like LSU was unique in that it spits out graduates earning 6 figures 3 years removed from graduating.

I simply stated that can be done in many other places depending on the degree earned.

I don't believe LSU is worth the price given what you get education wise and that the campus is surrounded by crime
