Brandon Roy was a hall of fame player.

D-Rose and it’s not close. He may have been the greatest slasher of all-time.

For the Pelicans:
-CP3 meniscus 2010
-Cousins Achilles 2018
Not for the Pelicans
-Kinda cheating here, since it's only one injury, but Chris Webber's 2003 meniscus injury. The Kings were poised for a championship run where they never even faced a Game 7.

I was amazed it was one and a half pages in before Larry came up. I wasn't a Celtics fan but it is a shame he had to play with the back of his. I can't imagine how good he would have been if he had played his whole career without back issues.

Larry Bird
A couple others that haven’t been mentioned are Bobby Hurley and Ramon Ramos.

Bro rose was gonna get hurt. He was unicorn. Westbrook and iverson were similar, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen that much power and speed ever from a player other than lebron. Super suprised Westbrook has stayed healthy this long. Iverson I’m sure had ailments but was able to play feather weight at what 5”10. Westbrook and rose were 6”3ish but Westbrook more lengthy while rose extremely compact like a running back.
Hill and penny both could have accomplished more with their ability and size without chronic injuries.
Roy was very impressive but really got dealt bad cards.
I think Yao has to be thrown in the mix. Ford out of Texas, Jason Williams out of duke are players with great abilities and bad luck.

A healthy Bill Walton would have been Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 2.0. Larry Bird was Larry Bird no matter what his back was like. In his era the Celtics and the Lakers would have met in the finals for about ten years in a row and each would have won about half of them so not much in history would have changed. A healthy Walton would have given Portland two or three more championships in the mid to late 1970s before Bird and Magic entered the league.

As an Atlanta guy, I’d have to say Trae Young specifically for the 2021 playoffs. They knocked out the top seeded Sixers in the 2nd Round and were 2-2 against the Bucks. Young missed games 4 and 5 I think and then tried to force playing in the elimination game and wasn’t all that good.
Even though they were the top seed in 2015 or so, that team was never going to beat LeBron or the Warriors. 2021 was their best shot at a title in their Atlanta stint probably since the Nique vs Bird playoff series

penny or grant hill. both top 20 talents. Grant had potential to be top 10, even top 5.

Gilbert Arenas. Gerald Wallace fell on his leg and it was over, but Agent 0 was one of the elite scorers in the league at that point really coming into his own. He went into Staples Center and dropped 60 on Kobe and then 54 less than a week later on the Suns earlier that season.

Greg Oden’s career just always seemed so tragic.
The added pressure of being first overall, and having Durant behind him.
I also think he would have been incredible if his body just cooperated
