Larry Bird. If he would have had he had as many healthy years as the average HOF’r, the Celtics could have possibly won 6 rings while he was there. His back killed his career.

Kobe still had another 4ish years of elite play before the achilles

Definitely. He still scored 60 in his last game, that was awesome to watch as a fan, me and my dad stayed up late to watch and were going nuts. RIP Big Dog.

Larry Johnson. He averaged 22/11/4 his 2nd season and was 2nd team all-pro. He was poised to become one of the stars of the league. Then he hurt his back and was never the same. He was a shell of what he was before. He's still the best college player I've ever seen..

the Pistol Pete the scoring machine, but according to ESPN he is second to C Clark as all time scoring machine in D1 basketball.

He had a good career, but I always wondered how good Kenyon Martin would have been without the leg injuries. He was so explosive at Cincinnati. Although a lot of his issues were between the ears.

Greg Oden would be an interesting one. Same for Penny Hardaway.

I would've liked to see Arvydas Sabonis in his prime. My Dad used to tell me stories about him.

Apparently his prime was in the 80s when he was still behind the Iron Curtain. Hubie Brown and the old heads talk about him as if he were Keyser Soze back then.

The NBA got him as an old man. Apparently he was Shaq and Bill Walton when he was playing for the Soviets.

He is one of the reasons we ended up sending pros in the Olympics. Sabonis dominated David Robinson in 88 and we didn't win the gold.

Len Bias is the only answer. He would have owned teams as a pro. A supreme athlete.

Well Larry Bird.

Who knows how many more titles, MVPs and great moments he would've had if he didn't basically break his back in 1987...and had to see a chiropractor before every game to loosen the spine to allow him to play for a few hours before his bones locked back up.

Len Bias could be a decent choice for this category.

I know he would jump on this one like a freight train speed ball.
