We don't really have a standout in the town I live in, but when my kids visit, we always go to a place called La Hacienda Ranch in Frisco, TX. It's mesquite grilled Tex-Mex and it is amazing.

El Tiempo on Richmond Avenue, though I’ve noticed a decline lately
El tiempo beef fajitas taste like they marinate in hot dog water.

Our fav the past couple years has been Las Reyes on Coursey.
Las Palmas opened a new store in Gonzales, across from Walk-Ons. Pretty nice place, nice bar, and the beef quesedillos are pretty damn good. That, with a small marg for lunch is $19, and enough to share with my gf if we eat enough chips.
Is it really Mexican? I dunno, but I like it.

Carnitas are the play at El Tiempo these days…the quality of the fajitas has gone downhill.

Literally every mexican restaurant I've been to in LA besides Superior has been run/staffed by nothing but mexicans
Maybe, or maybe they are from Honduras. Or Nicaragua.

Thank you. It’s been a while since I’ve been to either because of not going to Bogalusa very often. The friends and family that live there say they prefer Yo-yo’s now.

Mestizo’s but not necessarily because we think it’s the best. It’s pretty good and close to our house.

I’ll actually have to give El Tiempo credit…..went to Washington Ave location tonight for the Wednesday fajita special…beef fajitas were better than they have been for a long, long time.

In Charlotte, we hit up La Victoria in the Ballantyne area 2-3 times per month. Sometimes we'll go to Superica for Tex-Mex.

In my opinion, Mexican and Italian are best with the local mom and pops
Both foods are very cheap to make and I just can’t bring myself to pay $20 and up for tacos or spaghetti
Nothing better than a hole in the wall Italian place with the checkered plastic tablecloth.

I grew up in a border town so there are so many back home
Here in La, Los Amigos or Frijolitos. Amigos has great street tacos. Frijolitos makes a damn good quesadilla.

Casa La Vida off of Coursey for us. It is decent Mexican and the happy hour BOGO ritas are nice. Only thing I don’t like about the place are their chairs.
