Can you imagine being an SLU fan and victory being snatched away from you like that??

Only saw the highlights but SLU really lost that game earlier when they had 1st and 2nd I believe with one out. The batter hits that ball clearly not going to be caught in RF (outfielder even turned his back). The runner on second totally misjudged the play and instead of trotting home only gets to 3rd base. The unfortunate runner from first is caught in no man's land as he wanted to go to 3rd but there was already the guy there and tried to retreat to 2nd and couldn't get back. The SLU announcers already counted the run as did I. That was one of the worst cases of base running I have ever seen by the runner originally on 2nd base. Obviously, it cost them 1 run, maybe 2 eventually depending on what would have happened with the guy originally on 1st who of course was thrown out at 2nd and normally should have been at 3rd after the play.

Lost in all of that was Kling coming to cover 2B from CF. Instead of it just costing them a run, it also cost them an out bc Kling was heady enough to get there.

He’s bowing out of respect to the LSU players. He’s half Japanese.

Losing CWS to Florida in 2017. But nobody saw me alone in my car listening on the radio.

Yes, there were times in the Les Miles years where that was EXACTLY what happened to us.

Totally understand how he feels. I remember Ark losing the CWS in a similar way. Last out, Dude misses an easy out of bounds popup to end the game. Ark goes on to lose.

Thrill of victory, agony of defeat.

That Texas kid GIF is the prime example of why you never choose to be a longhorn fan. It’s like the Dallas cowboys. They’ll always blow it somehow.

No wonder majority of them end up Sooner and Tiger fans

Watching a program-defining win slip away at the last minute is melt-worthy. No judgement here.
