Alright guys and gals, this will be my last question. What are foods that leave you feeling full for longer periods of time? Trying to shed a few pounds and I’m a newbie to all of this. Thanks gang!

My chicken keeps me full and satisfied for hours. Thighs are my fav, but breast or tenderloins will work too.

The science says potatoes. I'd agree

Apples are surprisingly satiating and will keep you full for a while. Especially if you dip apple slices in almond or peanut butter.

Google “satiety index”, white boiled potatoes is the top. They have a nice side track in the book “the comfort crisis” that talks about targeting foods that rank well on that chart.

for me its any sort of protien or fat. When I'm eating carnivore I never feel the need to snack between meals and only eat two meals a day. I think the most important thing is to stay away from anything wheat (bread/pasta) and sugar.

high protein foods have been found to be more "satiating". things with casein proteins are particularly well known for this effect.

Eat 5 eggs for breakfast and you won’t be able to eat much for lunch. All for a total of about 375 calories and not much money.

Man, you better eat this sparingly, or you're going to actually gain weight. I love peanut butter.

I am actually on a mission to gain some weight so I’m housing 2-3 peanut butter sandwiches a day as snacks.

Popcorn is my crutch. Not the bag microwave shite full of calories. Pop some on the stove and put salt and pepper on it. You’d be amazed how much popcorn is only 200 calories.

Yeah it's a very calorie dense food. Somewhat filling but if you're trying to maintain a calorie deficit any nut butter will limit what you can eat the rest of the day.
