What do you bring to an interview??

Soft skills, don’t appear to be difficult or high maintenance.

Myself at least 10 minutes early. I walk past where I need to be to find it, and then use the bathroom. Then I get to arrive at the interview 5 minutes early.

Probably depends on your industry. A couple copies of your resume, even though there’s a 100% chance the person interviewing you has printed their own copy already if they want it.

Most of the people I’ve interviewed have rolled up with either nothing at all (fine) or a leather portfolio/notebook (also fine). The main thing to remember is to have your phone’s vibration turned off. It was noticeable when a candidate left their phones on the table or in their laps where the screen lit up with every notification.

All I bring is a legal sized note pad and a pen. Now I usually already have notes on those that will interview me in my note pad like their career history and education

Some bullshite questions framed around things that are easy to look up on the company.

It’s a show because what matters is the dollars on the job

Look on their website and social media for behind the scenes photos of employees (at work, not external events) to get a better idea of the company culture and dress code. I remember one time I went in for an interview and the company was way more casual in dress than I expected. My business casual was fine, although still more formal than most. Had I suited up, I probably wouldn't have looked like the best culture fit.
