t continues to dismay me that zero democrats have spoken out against this ruling.
You’d think that posters like 4chubbies would be outraged over this judicial overreach considering their penchant to be outraged at the judicial system when it effects they’re preferred criminals. When that same judicial system goes after their political opponents, they are silent. That’s why its hard to take them seriously on judicial and sentencing reform when they have no principles

DeutchBank should be able to do so and they have a relationship with him.
A secondary intent of all this mess is to make him a toxic association for lenders. Not only from a reputational aspect but if they place his businesses in jeopardy and tie up his liquidity and assets in these ridiculous fines he becomes an unstable liability to lend to.

Make them say this is constitutional and take it all the way to SCOTUS.
why do y'all always resort to "take it to the Supreme Court!" ?
Appeal bonds are standard stuff.

I bet you get super duper worked up over judicial and sentencing reforms when it affects your preferred criminals, democrats

The problem will be the amount as well as restrictions that Engoron has placed on the Trump Organization. Basically in order to do anything they have to get the permission of a special master . He's hamstrung or he has to liquidate and potential buyers are going to smell blood in the water.....so low ball offers .

Technically, NY could go after every bank in the Trump case and do the same thing to each bank.

How standard are they in Quasi(barely)-Criminal rulings/judgments by state entities against active political candidates?
Outline the precedential standards for everyone.

This is a regulatory action under the NY civil rules of procedure. If it were criminal, I don't think he'd have to post a bond

But the governor has claimed this was a special thing and won’t happen again.
Which frankly is a Morton’s Fork for this case.
Either all businesses could be subjected to this, to where they pull out of the state, or this was a political prosecution, which means it was a bill of attainder against someone who pissed them off and should be tossed as a result.

Precisely why it’s not gonna be allowed to happen

They're terrified that Trump will correct mistakes he made in his first term, like the hires he made, assuming goodwill, which was a huge mistake. He assumed that these people weren't complete insane Commies.
They are terrified that he will use the same lawfare that is being used against him.

He’s not going to correct them because they weren’t mistakes. He’s a globalist

I'm still figuring out how he accrued interest in a matter of days...
... only explanation is they went back to Engoron's earlier finding of fraud before the penalty was decided.
So they were charging interest on an unknown amount, while being litigated, which he's responsible for to appeal said amount.

It’s amazing to me that judge with a known bias against the defendant and a prosecutor who literally campaigned for her job on getting said defendant on something…ANYTHING, can get away with this.
It’s not the America I remember as a kid.

None of our leftist “friends” here are an issue with this. Never seen SFP protest either. He likes it I guess.

Are you joking? I don't think I've ever heard a lib say that Democrats do anything wrong other than droning people in the Middle East
They don't care and will never hold their representatives accountable for any wrong doing. They don't have standards like normal people do.

Why wouldn't it just be a small percentage for a bond?
