But a lot of people aren't homebodies that love making every meal at home.
I picked up subs earlier this week, kids' practice ran until almost 10pm and it was a better option than Zaxby's or whatever.
It was $42 for five foot long sandwiches, no chips or drinks. It's expensive but not that bad.

Wraps cost $3.60 extra. Stop getting a wrap and get bread.

How are you surprised by this? Isn't there a huge board behind the register that lists all of the prices?

You Door Dashed lately? It's outrageous.
Just a normal lunch costs $35 after you add it all up.

Ordering a soda with your lunch is now a 15-25% increase in your meal price.
Get water, or do what I do, and carry coke zero in my car, at my office, at home, etc.

It's all about convenience though. Sometime you just want a break.

If you’re going to pay a lot, get Jersey Mikes, at least it’s worth it

Fast food isn’t even worth getting these days unless you are in a road trip or something. It used to be you could at least make the argument it’s cheap and quick so it was fine to eat junk all the time but these days it’s not even close to worth it
Fast food prices really show how bad inflation really has gotten

We've been living the last 50 years of most people just wanting a break.
Prices won't adjust until we go 50 years of people not being able to afford a break.

It's terrible... for awhile I swore off them unless I had a coupon. They send some around in the mail that basically make it reasonably priced. I recently went and used one that got me a 6 inch meal for $6.99 instead of 15 damn dollars. It was a subway club and I asked for mustard/mayo... the idiot making my sandwhich emptied about a half bottle of each right at the edge and just slapped that bitch closed.... when i went to eat it it was just a puddle ozzing out one side and bone dry on other... went from done unless I had coupons to just fricking done.

Yeah I get that. I was more of getting at subways quality than the price. I’m in Florida and sub from Publix is a 1000x better than anything at subway. So if I’m gonna eat out I’m gonna get at least good quality food.
If I’m in Louisiana I would take a po boy any day over subway

You could've got another footlong for 1/2 price.
