Yes I’m poor and subway sucks.
So now that’s out the way, the point here is that I paid $17.84 for a chicken rotisserie wrap with some little bag chips and a small drink.
I said wtf to the guy that was ringing me up… he told me quote “ I know man, everyone is complaining about it. .. this same wrap was just over 12$ two years ago when I started working here, I know bc it’s my favorite”
I said so much for the days of 5$ footlongs
Makes you wonder how they stay in business. Seems like we’d be Getting to the point where people just stop going there.

Are $5 foot longs no longer a thing?
I’ve always wondered how subway manages to stay in business even before all this price hiking. Idk anyone who eats there. You can make a ten times better sandwich at home.

Use coupons it brings it down a bit.

You got a drink and chips. That’s $5 added on. You should be ashamed

Fast food is at point it is easier to just go to a restaurant. We inevitably get fast food once a month due to schedule or whatever. We pay almost same price for whataburger as a fast casual dining place for a family of 4.

That sounds ridiculous, but everything is getting expensive out there. I was out of town last week for work and had to eat out everyday. I was being cheap or trying to be and still ended up spending 250 for the week on dining. Breakfast was provided everyday too. The most astronomical bill was 28 bucks at some salad station place.

And you got a footlong.
I got a 6 inch Italian hotshot wrap yesterday and it was $8. Still expensive but you obviously got a footlong and drinks and chips.
If you don’t want inflation, go to Sam’s club or Costco.

Food cost % labor cost% the utilities % then profit

They won’t get 17.84 from me again.
So there’s that
So there’s that

Lay off the jalapeños, baw. They get me too.

I don’t care what kind of sandwich it is, I’m not paying $17 for it. That’s just stupid.

Use their app to get a buy one get one free/50% off footings depending on the location.
My order max gets to $14. Also always get a water cup mayne. That soda is NOT worth what they charge.

I worked there in high school (mid-90’s). The most expensive sandwich on the menu was the chicken breast at $4.99.

What is this? The 1990s?
Was driving a long distance yesterday and grabbed a Wendy’s spicy chicken.
fricking $10.
Scruffy is out.
ETA: Just as an extra tidbit. Subway bread isn’t actually bread. It is cake, at least some European countries classify it as cake.

They stay in business because idiots like you keep going back and paying $12 for a wrap and $5 for chips and small cup of syrup and CO2.
