I just listened to the Novel on Audible the dialog was straight out of the book. The Cohen Brother kept it extremely close to the original source material

I watched it the other night again. In the coin flip scene it looked like Jack Links Jerky on the shelves. Did they have that back then?

Was it set in 1980 or so.

I worked at a convenience store between my senior year of HS and freshman year of college (1990). Remember one of the vendors coming in and giving us samples
of this “new” beef jerky.

“Milk still sweating”

Can’t think of another movie that made a phone ringing put you on the edge of your seat.

I know I’m in the minority, but I hated this movie.

Nitpick: pretty sure the technology Chigurh used to track the money from a distance didn't exist in 1980. Not sure it even existed in 2007.

Fun fact: he guard at the border crossing is played by a guy named Brandon Smith. He's the stepson of rodeo star/cowboy actor/John Wayne sidekick Ben Johnson.

Yeah I remember picking up the book after seeing the movie, and being stunned at how true to the book the movie was. It was like I was reading the script directly. Great book, great film.

I always loved this scene. The guy almost wasn't human, just handled business.

I didnt hate it. But I didn’t love it. The characters seemed to make a lot of dumb decisions. Tommy Lee was not good at his job. And the end scene seemed pointless.

I’m okay with being in the minority.

Now here we are. Ninety degree heat. I got the cancer. And look at this. Not even a home to go to.

We're goin' to El Paso Texas. You know how many people I know in El Paso, Texas?

That's how many. Ninety degree heat.

And by "anybody" I mean any swingin' dick.

I'd honestly rank it on my top 10 all time best movies list. It's pretty much a perfect movie to me.

That's how I feel about it. Flawless. A great author combined with great movie makers.
