3H, 6 iron, and PW. I’d putt with the hybrid

this but 54. Use to be pretty solid putting with the edge of wedge. Just hover the club a little bit.

I would go driver, mid iron (probably 7 or 8, depending on the length of par 3s) and a 52.

I play a 3 club tourney every year and you 100% have to take a putter. My setup is usually 3W, PW, Putter. Really only have to get crafty on the par 3s.

Depending on course length, 6 iron on the par 3’s. 2 - 6 irons gets you to the par 4’s, 3 - 6 irons gets you to the par 5’s

I won a one club tournament with a 6 iron, shot 1 over on 9 holes.

You have 3 clubs and you're willing to take 1 out that you would normally take almost half your strokes with? And keep a driver in that you normally hit 12 times a round?

Driver or 4 hybrid (depends on course), 8 iron and 56 wedge.
Can actually putt pretty well with my wedge.

Yes.

Yes.

The number of times thing is a fallacy. It's all about strokes. I can putt with a wedge very well. If you force me to get from tee to green with two clubs, you're adding strokes to my score.

It's a fairly simple process of figuring out what costs me the most shots.

I'm probably a few shots worse putting with a wedge than I am putting with my putter (especially if I hit some putts with the wedge before the round).

In my opinion, I'm going to lose more shots by having to hit a mid iron around the greens and inside of 100 yards.

The other option is driver wedge putter, which really doesn't work if you have more than 150 yards into a green.

Taking less than driver off the tee means 3w, which is harder to hit, or 4i, meaning I lose a ton of distance.

Driver, mid iron, wedge is the best option for me.

Bingo.. and you basically eliminate any errant tee shots that end up in a hazard or behind a tree.

Also with putts accounting for such a large portion of overall shots in a round of golf, I feel like a putter has to be in the top 3 clubs.
