I’ve just gotten into eating wild mushrooms in the last 2 years. I mainly stick to oysters, chanterelles, and lions mane because they are the easiest to identify. As I get better I’ll venture to others.

On a side note, if you want good mushrooms and don't want to forage for them, stop by a local asian grocer. They usually have a good variety and are cheaper than American grocer's.

You don’t get high from mishrooms really. There is some euphoric effect for sure but really they just make you see the world differently. Much more in tune with the world around you. Nature always stands out to me.

You didn’t eat enough. Eat about seven grams of those PE’s and you’ll be so high you’ll see colors, God, shadow people, and strangely enough I sometimes see equations like Zack Galifianakas in the hangover which at the time I’m convinced is a cure for cancer, the answer for achieving zero point energy, how to manipulate gravity, etc. Then I sober up and don’t remember any of them so it was probably just 2+2= cosmic sky turtles.

They told us all sorts of lies about drugs when I was little.
The most outlandish story I remember was about how some people put PCP in a salt shaker at the Astrodome, and a little girl ingested it and ended up peeling her own skin off. That story doesn't make any sense, and there's no record of it, but a cop related it to us with a straight face.
Same guy talked about horribly disfigured LSD babies, and I am also highly skeptical of that. Again, it just doesn't make any sense
