Turtle wasn't perfect, but getting Coney-Barrett's appointment through before the term ended was huge for stuff like this.

All they have to do is flip it right back on you. Don't hire you because you're clearly white, but acknowledge that you're "black", and then claim "See? We don't only hire black people. We didn't hire that guy and he's 'black'"...

The companies that hired the best candidates irrespective of race will be better companies and grow while companies hiring someone because of race will eventually dilute their talent pool enough that it will start to hurt their business.

I've recently applied for jobs at PWC... Now I realize why I keep getting denied so quickly. I don't fit the demographic.

I wonder what level of consideration would be given to someone who looks white, but identifies as American Indian? Not talking about Elizabeth Warren's deceit.

If I was that age and as white as a paper plate, I would just culturally appropriate myself as some unique nationality.
Since I am from South Louisiana, I could say that I am Cajun, a mix a Creole, French and Spanish ancestry. Also, I may have some Native American blood mixed in there too. I probably have more Native American ancestry than the fake Indian chief Elizabeth Warren.

What makes this worse, these positions often lead to managerial roles in corporate finance/accounting, which will result in further incompetency there.
If I’m a straight white male looking for a business role, small private companies are probably their best bet. They don’t have to deal with the DEI bs.
