I've read your drivel. You don't know anymore about football than anyone else on the board. You've attached yourself to some football lingo and running with it like a child with a knife in his hand. The irony is you're telling other people they don't know what they're talking about then commence into an X's and O's explanation and making it obvious you have no idea what you're talking about.

And yet you aren't offering any counterpoint. Take what ystar said and break it down how you see it.

And I think that's a good list. I believe they all startedorv received playing time at the next school

trying to get a roster full of high IQ 24 year old 3-stars out of the portal every year doesn't sound like a sustainable formula. It won't be for Cignetti either.

So you basically agree with me. Coaches have to coach them up.

You seem to want to argue for the sake of arguing. You can have the last word. I'm done with the discussion. I've given my opinion on it.
quote:

The topic was players that showed improvement from their playing time at 'Bama to their role at their new school. Nearly everyone on your list didn't fit the bill.

No. The topic was about should we stop recruiting highly rated players and look for high IQ players instead. OP talked about players that have been coached up above their initial ranking. I made the argument that we have great players, but poor coaching. Then I provided examples of players you deem unfit that have had success at other schools.

So...I ask you: what seems more plausible? That we have a whole team full of idiots or maybe our coaches can't seem to coach them up?

think Heupel can play QB whisperer with him.

So you're saying better coaching and he'd be great... I think that's what several of us been saying.
quote:

Not saying you're wrong, necessarily, but your list sucks.

Now you move the goal posts.

You just want a team full of 5 star talent that don't ever need to be coached? That's a pipe dream. Our coaches have to coach them up. We've seen little improvement throughout the year.

What's more plausible here... That we have a full roster full of guys that can't improve or the coaches aren't getting the best out of the players? I vote the latter.
Who?

QB Julian Sayin to Ohio State, Downs at Ohio State, RB Justice Haynes to Michigan, CB Trey Amos to Ole Miss, WR Malik Benson to Florida State, and DL Damon Payne to Michigan

My point is that we don't have trash players, we have underperforming coaches.
We have a coaching issue. Plain and simple. Our players transfer out and perform well at other schools. We need to change how we evaluate and hire coaches.

You're an idiot.

This board needs to move above using milroe as an insult. Dude bleeds crimson, great kid, and did the best he could behind a shite o line.

You don't know any insiders.

I don't, but my buddy is pretty close to some. He runs in those circles... I'm too poor for that.
Insiders say it's too focus on changes on the offensive staff.

And here I thought our head coach would make decisions on behalf of the players health and the team's chance to win football games.

Same here, brother....
quote:

We were done 0-10 driving to score with 5 minutes left in the first half and our QB decides to run confused and instead of getting down like Mendoza does he stands straight up and let's them tee off on him to fumble.

That killed all of our momentum.

We basically got nothing from the offense till the backup came in.

Hurt starting QB stayed in far too long.. Deboer allows them to go up 14 more points before making a change. Then we see a small spark, but defense was gassed by then.

This staff is full of high paid idiots that we can't afford to clean out. They need to be pressured to change/improve...

Or maybe we send in the blonde to take some compromising photos.

Given the fact that the defense was giving up 12YPA and almost 90% from Mendoza and 6.5YPC on the ground is there any world in which we hold IU to 13 points?

Absolutely no way to calculate this. Different qb paying in different parts of the game with different game plans. different style. And not injured.
How foolish will Deboer look if these o linemen get drafted in the NFL and are actually good.
Everyone blames the o line. Does anyone have anything where someone steps through examples of the bad play or technique? I just find it hard to understand how a whole unit of returning players can have so little improvement.

I'm interested in seeing if the players are poorly rated or poorly coached (or both).

I want to hear specifics in technique... Give me all the nerdy details.
Mack gives mobility. Ty turned into a pocket QB mid season. I think this offense with do great with a true dual threat QB that can move the pocket and rpo. I know ty was supposed to be that guy, but injury didn't allow it.

I'll add team doctor if they were involved with keeping ty in game with a cracked rib.
Reported that ty had a cracked rib in the first half. It was discovered at halftime. Happened when he got hit on a scramble. I ask again... Why put a player out that you know hinders your ability to win ( Especially when we had 2 good options on the sidelines)??!!!

Kalen Richt breaking all the records.
If ty was hurt and Deboer knew ty couldn't perform to a level that would give us a score and stay in game.... That's just piss poor. You don't let the player run the show. I truly believe putting a QB out there and getting a score would have gone a long way in that game.

Just terrible to trot an injured QB that can't throw out there. And it showed... Two screens plays and a check down on 3rd and long on first series.
