We are getting a good bit of rain/precip right now in Youngsville. Spent the afternoon making sure all pipes are good. The older people next door are good. Just poured a drink and sit by the fire. BEEP! Smoke alarm detector

The latest snowfall totals across Knox County are 8-9". Heck of a storm.

This is also the first time Morristown officially exceeded 6" of snow from 1 storm since 1996.

I'm waiting to see some of the snow totals just north of me. It has been mostly snow maybe ten miles, if that, to my north. I've seen just a few flurries mix in all day, otherwise just a bunch of sleet. I will take that every day over freezing rain.

but make sure to open the outdoor faucet to drain what's in the line after you turn off the valve

Thanks. Already did so. Seemed like very little water came out though. I rattled the valve asmuch as I could. I've left the outside valve cracked open

Likewise, nothing of any significance to report in NW Livingston Parish.

OTOH, I just did my most redneck thing of the day: Water is turned off to the outside faucets which means the carport toilet won't flush. Or, it will only flush once. Anyway, I grabbed a 5 gallon bucket, filled it with pool water, and left it next to the toilet. Just in case.
