This dude is gonna be a fricking star.

He's playing amazing right now and deserves his own thread just like Hawk.

He’s going to be an elite role player in this league. His 3pt% is slowly creeping up

He’s 9 of 10 in his last 2 games with 22 points, 9 assists and 8 rebounds while playing his usual awesome D. Dude is playing lights out.

He's probably the most underrated defensive player in the entire league because Herb gets all the attention.

100% he is a special, special defender. He’s only 20 years old. Guys that young aren’t supposed to be this good on defense

He was my favorite draft pick of the Griff era. I think by year 3 or 4 he will be something special. He has a great demeanor to him.

If herb and Dyson keep knocking down 3s, look out.

Herbs D is more lockdown, Dyson more instinctive in D. Great to have both.

Don't ever become complacent

If you keep up his upward trajectory and he could be a top 20 player this time next year

Our young core is making our future bright. You can't get rid of Trey, Herb, Dyson, Hawk, or Jose for any reason. They're all long term assets that will make us competitive for the next 5+ years.

We need a great young center to pair with them. We almost unquestionably have to get one in the next draft.

Top 20 is insane brother. That would mean he’s the best player on the Pels most likely, as neither Ingram or Zion are currently top 20.

Trading Dyson and a pick to turn JV into Jarrett Allen, which I’ve seen from multiple Pels fans, seems like a dumb, win now trade to me. I know it’s nit totally win now, but it just seems to undervalue Dyson.

I'm so so tired of the trade for Allen chatter. I don't want. We don't need and our chemistry and synergy is starting to come together. JV is a Pelican. He deserves to be here. He has played every game damn near since he has been a Pel. ALLEN can't even shoot and his D is overrated. Would you believe JV averages more blocks than Allen? Hard pass.
All we need is a defensive stalwart, back up big to alternate with Larry depending on matchup. I'm looking at you Wendell Carter.

Fritz.

All business. Impressive at that age.

yeah no way he's ever going to be a top 20 player. He'll never have the offensive creation to be a star but he has all the tools to be one of the best role players in the league.

Like a Derrick White, or OG level role player

agree with the first part, but Carter is not good defensively.

This is just plain idiotic and woukd piss me off to no end. If Griff was more patient and didn’t trade for Adams, he could have had Allen for about what he gave up for Adams when the Nets gave him away. Think I even made a thread about it at the time. I always like JV and I’d just keep him. Maybe replace Zeller with a defensive 5.

Dyson went through a bad shooting slump earlier this season, but in his last 12 games, he's 10-20 from 3pt range. That's been huge, not because hitting one 3 a game makes such a big difference in the final score, but because Dyson's ability to hit open 3s helps us keep him on the floor without compromising our offense much.

And his little flips and floaters near the rim continue to improve. If we can develop Dyson into an average offensive player, he'll be extremely valuable.

Even the ones that didn’t go in very well could have. His shot looks so smooth with great form now. He used to throw up bricks, but everything about his shot looks good now, even the misses.

it was a joke and it missed

It was more commenting about the poster who made the deduction on how his posts have resulted in Dysons improvement(he was joking too) and how if they kept posting then that type of leap could be made

I don't have top 20 expectations for anyone on the roster not named Zion

BI has shown Glimpses of maybe but has also shown enough of maybe not

Only other guy with a prayer of that status would be Trey with additional improvement
