Enterprise High School ended that approach, for better or worse.

Do you think it will be bad in in Meridian tomorrow night? Have offices in both Meridian and Montgomery that I gotta go visit this week and figure I'll just stay overnight tomorrow night. Which of these two will have the lowest severe threat?
RTR covered you pretty well. Rainy, windy, with general thunderstorms throughout the day for Meridian. The line could get spicy when it rolls through.

And early dismissals are coming out for tomorrow.
Zachary, ascension, Livingston all ending early tomorrow

but the worst of the severe weather threat *should* be mostly south of those locations.
Seems like central Alabama gets jealous of other nearby areas getting all the attention, thus, I'm fully anticipating at least a tornado watch around here tomorrow night

I assume these early closings make havoc of the schedules for parents. Don't ever remember this happening but I am a Geezer

Tomorrow was supposed to be first full day back at work after holidays and flu. But nah, bunch of administrators gotta be pansies. It won’t even get bad until the evening. If it gets bad at all here

EBRPSS is currently only canceling after school activities. They'd rather endanger kids and workers than cancel. The problem is that many EBR workers live in surrounding parishes, so you will have many workers who will just take the day.

Yep. Same around here, too.

Why are all of these SELA schools/districts canceling school when the worst weather isn't even supposed to through there until tomorrow night?
This litigious society has made scared of their own shadow.

You in Bama? If so, I kinda get that. You guys have been hammered with tornadoes.
In south Louisiana, it’s almost non-existent

Flood watch starts at noon. Blame them.

Admittedly, this isn't just my thinking, but tomorrow night into early Tuesday is trending to be a potentially rough time for the Mobile and Panhandle area. I mentioned it early on that this is the type setup that could cause that area big problems, and it looks like it likely will.
Overnight threat with bigtime shear. Add in that this will be tracked all day and could very well take a while to produce, and it is a recipe for a lot of people to sleep on......literally. Pay attention Mobile folks, it may he a rough one.
