I was overwhelmed by the choices so I just went with the tried and true Traeger.

Had a traeger and it would never work correctly. Their customer service was shite. Have had a green mountain for about 6 years and it has been solid.

I have a pitts and spitts offset smoker, i went to their store in Houston asking for some relpacement parts and they were the absolute rudest people I have ever dealt with.

I have been looking at pellet grills and it will either be a Lone Starz grill or Yoder. They are just built better.

I found a good deal on a scratch and dent Pit Boss that smokes, grills, and sears. I absolutely love it.

Mine doesn't have a spec of rust.

I’ve got zero rust/corrosion on the outside of the grill, but I’ve had to replace the fire chamber once and will probably have to do so again in a year.

You get what you pay for. I have a Traeger and it is great, holds temperature extremely well. BIL has a RecTech and temps swing a lot.

Mine rusted on the inside, not the charcoal box but the aluminum box under the grates that spreads the heat out. Pulled it out to replace it and it ripped everything else inside with it.

For the first time in my life on a grill, I religiously used the cover. Wonder if that has helped?

The firebox inside the grill and where it attached to basically disintegrated.

I have a Traeger Junior and a SmokinBrother PP36 pellet smokers. I just gave my niece my GMG Daniel Boone. All of these are great smokers and had wifi. In my 10 years of smoking I never had a need to use the wifi. I rather sit out there and drink a few colds ones while the smoker is working. IMHO I would stay away from PitBoss.

Traeger is the worst value. Their pellets were bogus too. I think they may have changed their pellets in recent years due to them getting shite on so badly.

Camp Chef if good with reasonable quality on some models.

Green Mountain has value and is highly regarded for flavor by hard core BBQ guys.

Some of the Pit Boss's are great some are junk. I am partial to the Pro Series 1600. Value is good on it an the auger is very reliable on all the Pit Boss's.

I run a smoke tube with pure hickory pellets for every cook. It is the only way I have found to get decent smoke flavor.

As for size you need bigger than you think so you can keep your food away from the burn pot. My next pellet grill will have a burn pot that is off to the side. Ribs and brisket always get cooked on the second rack.

Took a look at the both the Cabella’s 24 and Camp Chef 24 today… noticed the Camp Chef’s grilling area has significantly more height… seems like both could fit a pretty big brisket… camp chef seems to have more room for a larger turkey

I’m looking at the camp chef pro that has the drawer for extra wood chips. It looks very high quality. I was hoping to see them on sale around Christmas but nada. I don’t think they need to mark them down.

Camp Chef here. I’ve had mine for several years and for a couple years, used it about 3 times a month. I absolutely love it. I’ve had to call their customer service a couple times for issues with “add ons” and they are the best I’ve ever come across. Highly recommend them.

Yes, a 24” is big enough for a brisket.
