Great guy. Great hire. To be honest, I think he was a little shocked when his name started getting serious traction a few weeks ago. It's going to be a ridiculously tough job and he's going to have to play the game a little to get things done. I can tell you he's PO'd off about the crime and soft response. Supposedly Broome is going to give him her full support. She has to at this point, she's getting pretty desperate.

I am actually shocked. I mean it took her long enough but it seems like she made a solid choice.

Thank you, Mayor Broome! Let’s reach these youths.

Am I the only pessimist here? I think the mayor knows the job is impossible so she gave it to this guy. Now she can say, "See, we tried this guy and he couldn't do it either so we don't need to try that any more."

TJ is an absolutely phenomenal officer and a great guy.
Shocked at the choice. But a good shock.
I'll have to ask my BRPD brothers if they think it was a good choice. I talked to one the other day and he said several were good choices.

Actually, Eugene Collins said during TJ’s interview that he received more calls of support from his community for TJ than any of the other candidates, with a surprising number of those calls of support from people that TJ had arrested.

TJ is a career crime fighter that is well respected by cops. He will restore professionalism and start the process to bring back a sense of law and order to Baton Rouge. He will be fair and firm in his decision making. He will be tough on crime.

TJ is a solid guy. I’m pleasantly surprised at this decision. I hope nothing but the best for him and the department.

Hopefully ALL law abiding citizens realize how important law and order is.
Hopefully all the cops understand that they too have to follow the law.
Hopefully the new chief takes back the streets and makes them safer for everybody. Hopefully, he raises he’ll when the DA and the judges fail to lock the thugs up.

I am glad you feel good about this hire. That actually makes me feel good about it. Know nothing about this guy but I know the status quo can't stand. Hopefully he can get things turned around.

The fraternity members will refuse to do what he says. He won’t be able to get shite done because he won’t be able to hire anyone else.

Let's just hope he's allowed to police the city. Hopefully she doesn't frick him and oust him after the next election.

I’ll be supportive if he stops the dodge charger burnouts at all hours of the night
Seriously if they don’t fix the crime issues it will do more detriment to this city than anything else

20 years with BRPD. It's a coin toss and hope he's not a puppet.

Still wouldn't vote for her. At any level of government.

Only if he's allowed to fully do his job and not handcuffed by social justice causes and whatever other bullshite might be going on at BRPD.
