Not at all. We will never move back to Louisiana.

LA will always be home and will always miss the culture, food etc, but it’s so much nicer where we live.

Little crime, no insane traffic (except during tourist season and we can avoid a lot of it), beach life is awesome. No ragerts.

Still looking for some retirement property in the Ozarks.
found some and we will never move back. Weather, lack of crime and traffic, and some pretty good local stores and restaurants combined with an outfoor lifestyle have us pretty content.
We do travel back often to visit family and friends that still live there though because we miss them terribly. They also enjoy coming visit us because there is a lot to see and do here.

If North BR was nuked off the map, yeah I'd miss it. Otherwise, hell no.

Why in God's name would you leave a gorgeous part of the country like Tennessee and go back to the nation's butthole?

I miss going to the river levee downtown and watching the ships in the Spring when the river is high followed by a visit to the Pastime bar. Nothing else.

I don't miss Baton Rouge. Some of the people and friends, sure. But the actual city, not at all.

I miss the food and culture from time to time. A week long visit to family in the holidays is all I need, and then I’m ready to be back in Tennessee.

Unless you specify the location within Spring, congrats. You moved from BR to BR.

Sounds like you were too scared to venture out of your circle in Houston.

You call that moving away? You’re not even 5 hours down the road.
Seems pretty significant to me.

I miss BR artesian well water and the great fried seafood. Nothing else. We had a nice house in Broadmoor, but not anymore

Grew up in BR/Central. Left 5 years ago. I miss certain things, but I do not miss BR in general. Wife and I went home to visit earlier this year. Saw all I needed to see after 4 days.
