She is usually good, but I don't know how anyone could really lean toward Nix when you look at the stat comparisons and the schedule comparisons with the defensive rankings and general rankings. It's not really that close when you look at that. If he dominates Washington, then I could at least see the argument that some will try to make.

Nix has played 1 top 10 team. JD played 3 top 10.teams (and Ole Miss is #11). Oregon's best win is now ranked #21. LSU's best win was #9 Mizzou and they were one play away from beating #11 as well.

I would love to find a comparison of Nix and JD5 taking YAC out of the equation. Admittedly I've only watched a couple of Oregon games this year, but it sure seemed like 90% of Nix's throws were less than 10 yards down the field. So he dinks and dunks while his playmakers increase his stats and has relatively no rushing stats.

121 completions of 0 or less air yards.

Daniels has 51

None of that stuff matters. There is only one criteria, which is: Who do you think is the best player?

So Caleb Williams? Nobody should think Nix is the best player in college football.

It should be about who had the best season.

I honestly wish we had a better idea of who has votes because I don't other than a few press types who say they do and the former winners.

It is NOT even close when you add in JD's rushing yards. Let's just ignore that one...

I saw CBS or ESPN show JD, Penix and Nix's stats compared to each other and naturally rushing yards were left out

Sadly, I see that douchebag that laughed at the idea of JD being in the running has a vote. He said JD would hold at clipboard at UW or Oregon. So there are some imbeciles who get a vote.

And what's crazier is that JD would still be in the top 3 even without his 1K rushing yards and 12 TDs. Factor that in, and it should be a no-brainer on who had the best year.

Umm, I hate to break it to y'all - almost all media sources are pointing to Bo Nix. They don't want another SEC player getting the trophy this year.

Prove this

Heather Dinich's comment is indicative of the media's support for Nix. On my way to my deer hunt Sat at 5 15 AM I was listening to "College Football" channel 84 on satellite radio. The radio guy was someone I've not heard before. He must have talked for 15 min non-stop about Nix and how he should win the Heisman. He even said somehithing like, "It's not like he's just dinking and dunking the ball. He's throwing it downfield." That's obviously not supported by the stats. Unfortunately, the sport media is just like the mainstream media: They have their own preconceived notions and don't want to be confused w/ the facts. Looking at the stats and what Daniels has done for his team should make it a non-brainer vote for him. Unfortunately, after hearing that radio show I came away w/ the realization that Nix is probably going to win the Heisman, albeit for all the wrong reasons.

WTF is she doing with a vote? She's a valley girl twit and couldn't judge the difference between and all pro football player and a 6 grad volleyball chick.

She thinks Marvin Harrison is the best football player in America.

She's always been trash. Totally talked shite about LSU before the GA Tech bowl game saying, "This is the best the SEC has to offer?" Then we destroyed GT and the article vanished. Weak journalism to delete your writing when it turns out wrong.

The list is not only 10 years old, but the website that created the list closed down one year later - on December 8, 2014.

He isn't even the best WR in America.

last week I saw that Penix had 80 more passes and Nix had about 50 more (I think) and still the passing yardages are pretty even except for completion percentage, I think JD had more passing TD's at the time and that is without the 1100 rushing yds and 10-11 rushing TD's.

Fortunately, there are media people like Herbstreet who have stated that they are voting for Daniels. Herbstreet has about the biggest platform there is regarding college football. That helps balance things out. RG3 won a Heisman and he stated numerous times during the aTm game that Daniels has done enough to win the Heisman and will get his vote.

All past Heisman winners, and every worthless sports writer you have never heard of along with other people attached to college football such as Herbstreit for instance.

That's a good point. If JD wins it, that would make 1 in a row for the SEC.

He would only beat out Lacy at LSU. Of course I just wonder how he would fair against an SEC secondary
