This is all confusing
It looks like Joran is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers.
He’s going to end up in a federal prison here instead of a hell hole in Peru where he belongs for brutally murdering a girl.
So if he pleads to something here, and he ends up jailed in the US, he actually gets off light.
Natalees dad seemed like the type that’d be happy to pop a cap if given the chance. Fingers crossed for that.

Just an assumption but if you’re rich I bet Peruvian prison is better than an Alabama state prison. Way easier to bribe and security is probably much more lax. The average Peruvian is 5’5” I know they have cartels and shite down there but I don’t think Joran will like what he sees in Alabama's prison population.

JvS only earned jail by murdering the girl he shacked up with. She didn't believe him and did internet searches about him. That angered him.
Meanwhile I'd like to know what country his father is a diplomat to in the two decades since this happened.

This has always been by my most likely scenario from day 1 and it's the worst scenario. The European documentary gave some hope that it truly was an OD, forced or otherwise. Awful that could be seen as a "good" scenario in all this. I knew them all personally. Just an awful, awful thing to have happened to an otherwise good family.
