Just keep winning. If we can win out, and win the SEC it will force them to make a decision.

We've got some tough games ahead of us.

No, I just look at the CFB Playoff history and see that 80% of the time or more, a two loss SEC champ is in

so you’re completely ignoring what’s happening this season across the CFB landscape and only looking at previous seasons.

Got it. Now your posts make a lot more sense.

What really sucks is if we had next years format of 12 teams, we would get our chance to play it out on the field at the end of the year. The offensive would really give us a chance to make a splash in a 12 team playoff.

Also Michigan plays no one but OSU so the winner of that is in and the loser is still a one loss team and if its OSU with the one loss, they would def make it in over us and just like UGA, I am not convinced we make it in over a 1 loss Michigan either.

It’s like y’all don’t watch college football or even look at schedules. Michigan and Ohio state also play Penn state.

Washington still has usc (always a threat with that offense) Oregon state and Utah possibly with cam rising plus the pac 12 title game which is number 2 no division

Florida state plays duke Miami and Florida at Florida AND then the ACC championship game which is the number 2 regardless of divisions

Just need one of those conferences get taken out and we are in.

No one is letting the SEC champ sit out if there is any reasonable possibility.

Georgia with no bowers doesn’t do I’d we beat them

Even if one conference gets knocked out, I am still not convinced the committee would choose 2 loss LSU over 1 loss UGA or a one loss Big 10 and PAC 12 non conference champ.

They proved in 2016 when they chose one loss OSU over a 2 loss conference champion in Penn State that beat OSU head to head.

He’s been doing it for weeks. Every post of his is basically best case scenario for LSU and pretend it’s 100% going to happen.

It will take more than one team getting taken out to have some of those entire conferences to be taken out. So this quote also applies to you

Is there a universe where LSU wins out, beats Georgia, makes the CFP and plays for a national title?

Initially my thought was hell no but honestly if the defense really gets going, I don’t see anyone on the schedule beating this team. Now, CFP is a completely different animal. I get it. Auburn sucks but you can’t help but think it’s not completely off the table. It happened before in 2007 why not again?

FSU rematch in Houston?

right now would need a lot of help.

if FSU goes undefeated, B1G champ has 1 loss or less, PAC12 champ has 1 loss or less and Big12 champ has 1 loss or less.....even if LSU beats UGA in SECCG...both teams are left out.

You need 1 of these, possibly 2 to happen to get in

B1G- need OSU, Mich, PSU to all have atleast 1 loss and have Iowa upset them in the B1GCG

ACC- UNC- needs to lose to clemson, then beat FSU in ACCCG

Big12- need OU to lose to OK State then beat texas in Big12CG

Pac12- Need Oregon to lose, washington lose and then oregon get revenge in Pac12CG

Unless penix goes down, UDUB ain’t losing, the apple cup is in Tacoma this year, that would be the only match up that is worrisome.

And

OU has about as easy of a road there is going forward.

Yes all that is true. Unfortunately our defense will have to play great every Saturday. I really do not see that happening.

If all of those things happened there are 10 teams in your post that would still arguably have a better case to get in than LSU, and there’s zero chance we would get in over 7 of them.

So it wouldn’t only take one or two of those happening, it would take all of them plus much more.

Almost every team left on their schedule has 1 or zero losses so far this year. Its not out of the realm of possibility that they drop one game.

I’m expecting the usual in college football to play out. Every year “there could be too many teams” and by the end half the time there isn’t enough conference champs that the sec ends up with two.

I also know that the SEC commands enough respect that a second place one loss team isn’t getting in over the sec champ unless the champ has 3 losses.

Beating Missouri and Auburn doesn’t get me fired up. Our defense has problems. FSU would beat us by the same about if we played them next week.

The SEC has gotten two teams in twice in 9 years, and all of those teams only had one loss.
