Jericho.

I loved that show but like Firefly it kept getting bounced around time slots, so people just programmed their DVRs to record it.

There was no tracking of recorded shows so the ratings looked terrible.

It was canceled after one season but the studio got so many letters about it they gave it another season, but there was a writers strike and by the time it came back the buzz had died.

Incredible show. It’s shocking that one of the reasons for cancelling the show was that there weren’t enough people watching it, but anytime I’ve seen the show mentioned on a public forum it receives overwhelming support.

Miami Vice

Nah, Miami Vice probably had as good a run as could be expected. If anything, it went a season too long. Once Michael Mann left, it wasn't the same show.

A show I really liked but it got killed by a writer's strike was The Riches with Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver.

For me, The Finder. It was a summer show on Fox and loved the characters.

Firefly
Rome
Deadwood

There’s a reason they keep getting mentioned. Network crime.

And then there’s Norsemen — catch three seasons on Netflix and laugh your arse off. You’ll want more from Yarl Varg, et al.

Firefly. Whoops.
Knick
Timeless
Freak and Geeks
Nevers

And mostly…. Franklin and Bash.

Not that it hadn’t run its amazing course but they left on a giant cliff hanger that was criminal not to at least let us know what happened.

A more interesting thread is what show is criminal because it wasn’t cancelled.

Such a well paced, easy watch. Donal Logue teased a possible revival as late as 2020 but we got nothing. All because FX didn’t market it well and people thought it was about dogs.

That 1st season is 23 episodes. We had that 2006 writer's strike, then they threw together seven episodes in 2007 and called it Season 2. So fricking disappointing. That show had many years of stories to tell.

Plus they made it hyper condensed rushing to closure so the half season they had was all focused on the background conspiracy storyline as opposed to what made the first season great: just a small rural town trying to figure out how to survive in the new world order where they were cut off

Agree with many noted already. I want to see a 2nd season of Archive 81, it was a weird creepy one without closure.

Really was an amazing show that was significantly underrated.

So short I forget about it. Quirky great little show. Lee Pace never really did much more than Ronan and Thor’s henchman in MCU and the criminally underrated “the Fall.”
