Shows where it should have been a crime because they were cancelled...

Like many, Freaks and Geeks is always my #1 answer for this. With just one season it is still one of the greatest TV shows of all time. EP16 Smooching and Mooching (spin the bottle episode) being one of the greatest single episodes in TV history.
Another I try to recommend every time I can, on here or in person, is The Knick. Originally on Cinemax and now on MAX. If you haven't watched this show, you need to, NOW. Steven Soderberg show Starring Clive Owen. Some of the best acting and writing you will ever see. It's an actual crime this was only two seasons.
If The Knick were to be released today, with streaming the way it is, and it not be a Cinemax show with a very limited number of potential viewers like it was, it would be a smash hit. It's about a brilliant surgeon at the Knickerbocker hospital around 1900 (and much more obviously). I have no idea how they made surgery look that realistic. This show will make you thank God or whoever for modern medicine and advanced surgeries.
What else you got? Firefly is always a go to answer.

I don't think it qualifies as canceled, more so just not continued on, but the way the Expanse stopped is bullshite.
I know there's supposed to be a big time jump for the characters and they were worried about that, but keep going.

I was just coming to post Firely and Freaks and Geeks but you have taken care of it already.
Will add My So Called Life I think there would have been a big drop on quality had it continued.
Happy Endings - I think the uncertainty hurt it, but it did last a couple of years.
But under the radar - Flashforward. I was really enjoying it.

Patriot
The Tick
Both great shows that I thought got better with momentum in their second seasons. Amazon canned them, but made a third season of Goliath after that atrocity of a second season.

If I am remembering correctly, it came out around the time LOST was in its last season and was supposed to be the new LOST, it was even on ABC and had Dominic Monaghan and Sonya Walger (Charlie and Penny) in it. I don't remember much about it, but I remember I was enjoying it.

FlashForward is constructed around a high-concept narrative where a mysterious event has caused nearly everyone on the planet to simultaneously lose consciousness for 137 seconds, during which time people see what appears to be a vision of their own life approximately six months in the future: a global "flashforward". A team of Los Angeles FBI agents, led by Stanford Wedeck (Vance) and spearheaded by Mark Benford (Fiennes) and his partner Demetri Noh (Cho), begin the process of determining what happened, why, and whether it will happen again.

God damn Olympics messed them up. It has solid writing but that first season was too long to then be cut off for 4 months bc of the winter games.
Should have stopped around ep. 11 then waited till they were over.
Might have survived
