Harold did a phenomenal job staying on KJ Jefferson last year, but will he do the same with Jordan Travis? Even though he’s not a run-first QB, JT does extend plays with his legs.

Last year Travis only rushed for 417yds and 7 TDs but his career numbers are 1676 rushing yds and 24 TDs.

He spied Malik Hornsby, KJ didn’t play.

Seems like having Perkins spy Travis would be a great way to neutralize his (Perkins) effect on the game. Since that's not what we're really trying to do, I don't think you see it very much.

I think I'd prefer him to rush and not spy? But I'm just a fan

Would be a waste for Perkins to spy Travis.

Next question….

I would hope not. Need him applying pressure.

I think it has to be part of the game but we will contain Travis first then go get him.

“Mad dog/Green dog blitz” or delay blitz him a bunch. You have to ensure the RB stays in for pass pro, if he stays, blitz, if he doesnt, “spy”. Mix that up with him off the edge and also traditional MLB. Omar Speights can motion out and allows us to keep Perk in the box, but he most likely will have to defend their TEs (Jaheim Bell gonna be a problem imo).

You can also have Greg Brooks come down and have 1 high safety, which allows Omar and Perk to stay in the box and have Omar guard the TE. Lots of variables but I would mad scientist the hell out of our defense hahahah

I think the way he played in the Bama game would be more of an indication on how he will playin in this game. Travis scrambles to throw not run a lot like Bryce Young. He still spied Young on occasion but in the Arky game I think that’s all he did the entire game.

He’ll be lined up in different locations and have different responsibilities each play. Optimize his versatility. Then on obvious passing downs watch out cuz he’s comin.

We didn't play KJ last year. But yes Harold will spy Jordan Travis at times on Sunday. He is very good at getting out of pressure and spinning out of sacks. Harold is going to be used as a rusher and spy during obvious passing downs.

Travis needs as much pressure on him as possible. Our CBs aren't good enough to cover with Perkins wasting pass rush time.

He will do that mush rush spy thing on a lot of plays. Keep Travis in check until you know you have a kill shot.

He will do a lot of things. He's not going to be a one-trick-pony this year. That said, I don't expect a lot of spying vs fsu.

Perkins and the LBs better show up to play run defense. Achane rushed for 215 for aTm and LSU got pushed around. FSU is going to come out with that game plan.

Seems like a waste. The nations best player shadowing a QB. I think I would give that job to a safety or backup CB
