"intent" is getting muddied here. His intent was to drive drunk. the consequence was killing someone.
but he did not get behind the wheel with a clear mind thinking "i want to kill someone." by law, it was an accident.
I also stated he did not not intend to harm someone. But to reiterate from the post you replied to, he did 100% intend to be drunk and drive 156mph. Doing so, he should reasonably assume something terrible can happen, and a logical argument can be made that he should suffer the most severe consequences IMO when that does happen due to his intentional recklessness decisions.

Parole after 3
Keep working out in prison and maybe the XFL will sign him up if it's still around
All he had to do was call an uber in Vegas, no excuse not to

I hope he gets close to serving the full 10, but wouldn't be surprised if it's closer to 3.
The drunk driver who killed my brother-in-law got 18. Luckily the judge was receptive to the statements of his friends and family advocating for a sentence longer than 15 years.
Getting behind the wheel while shitfaced is a completely selfish, piece of shite move. No excuse for it nowadays.

It may have been early in the morning but the guy was doing 150 mph through a suburban neighborhood. If he hadn't hit the car his vette probably would have wound up in somebody's bedroom.

I read about 2 weeks ago when this sentence was getting tossed around that apparently the 3-10 years in prison was agreed upon by the victims family. So while the rest of us might consider it far to short, the family (the only people that actually matter here) was willing to accept it.

Would you say the same thing if this was about an Auburnnplayer?????

His intent was to show off to his GF who n his fancy car while drunk on his arse going over 120 MPH through a neighborhood . Doing that is what caused the event. Which is the death of another human being and could have caused even more fatalities due to his actions. He should have gotten like 50 years.

I think most people not involved with a crime such as this can hope the perpetrator will be remorseful and will try to be a positive influence on society upon release.
But will he? Time will tell.

The family probably wants him out sooner while he still has some talent to take some of his future earnings away from him.

Look… I’m not wishing anything bad on the guy, but hey he was reckless and without a doubt took the life of another human by HIS poor choice to being sn arrogant punk who had a ton of money and thinking he could get away with anything he wanted.

He should have gotten more time, but as long as his NFL career is done with and he is broke after the legal fees, I can live with that I guess. He doesn't deserve to be a high paid star ever again.

Should have been 30 years minimum.

3-10 years is bullshite. There is a better argument to be made that he should have been executed than getting 3-10 years.

No its not
I can just start shooting a gun all over the place, and if a bullet hits someone and kills them, I'll get 3-10 years?
No intent remember... I didn't mean to shoot anybody...
Our judicial system has def come to favor idiots and criminals over victims.
