The "3 to" part is obnoxious.

I would be for a bit longer but given what our justice system is 10 is about the most you could expect.

10 years "isn't a long time" if someone else is doing it.

It will seem like a long time for this guy who has probably been pampered since the first time he ran fast in the 4th grade.

Didn’t he sit there and let her burn to death while the fire grew and she screamed? That alone should be ten years.

I deal with a lot of people on a daily basis. I would save a dog’s life or a good 60% of humanity without blinking an eye. Humans kind of suck for the most part

I can't imagine getting this worked up over a post that's clearly hyperbole. I also can't imagine calling someone "sad and pathetic" for lamenting a golden retriever burning to death.

I assume he gets time served thus far - does this mean he might be out in a year?

No, not without intent

Murder DUI States have blurred the lines and the game has been changed...arguing that everyone now knows you don't drink and high drive and that imbibing with intent to drive...is enough. changed

No longer the defense of, I didn't mean to plow over that family in my land rover after drinking 5 bottles of Cristal. The intent was getting in that car, not what your high arse did while in it.

And 3 to 10 years is a bullshite sentence.

People get 3 years for aggravated assault.

That's 7-8 years only if he's an a-hole in Prison.

Otherwise he's out in 3 like it was an assault charge.

From the video, he was unconscious or incapacitated while her car was on fire.

There's a video I know exists of him and the girl that was in the car with him, and they were both awake and aware at least at that moment sitting on a sidewalk freaking out, watching the other car engulfed in flames.

I'm not sure there was anything he could have done at that point, but I'm fairly certain he was conscious at least for some of the situation and watched the car in flames.

This fuy get all fricked up and drives 150mph recklessly, and kills somebody due to his own actions and behavior... How is that not evidence for the maximum penalty of 10 years?

His last of crimes here is insane….DUI, felony speeding, felony reckless driving, manslaughter (or whatever they called it). I guess he’s getting a package deal.

Residential road with intersections that he was constantly blowing through going 160+ mph.

Idgas about the drinking. A sober person doing what he did deserves decades in jail imo. Even without killing someone.

Driving is something nearly all of us are required to do. We should not put up with people who speed like this and put everyone’s lives in danger.
