Florida is surprisingly nice… hoping they offer a scholarship to my son to play there.

UConn? What do they have besides the previous dynasty of womens basketball?

Mens basketball champs this year and strong in every other sport not named football.

Well, they're the defending men's basketball national champions and have won 5 beginning in 1999.

UConn's baseball team was probably the best in the northeast this year. They got eliminated in Florida's regional.

Love it although his UConn alumni bias is showing

Tennessee had a much better year than Alabama.

How so? I do hope they offer. Bunch of south Louisiana coaches on staff, seems like a cool place to be.

Men’s Basketball at UConn is like LSU football here. They also have a decent baseball program.

Yea, SEC towns all have pluses and minuses…but the UF campus seems like a plus so far. We’re taking another visit soon, we’ll see how it holds up.

As far as coaching turnover…it’s the SEC, no telling who will be around. Pittman at Arkansas seems like the only sure bet (from the interested schools).

Jim Mora got them to a bowl game this year. If he’s a UConn homer then this was a really big deal to them so this weighs heavily on his decision to include UConn on this list too

Well, the UCONN men's team just won the ship in basketball so there's that.

I would argue that you should need more than just a trend in the right direction. Their best season in recent years is 6-7. That shouldn't be a feather in the cap when discussing the athletic program as a whole.

Men's bball national champs, played in a (low level) bowl game, and made a baseball regional for like the 5th year in a row after being Top 15 most of the season.

They are also really good in hockey and their women's sports.
