Last year was truly remarkable. Being able to use the "everyone doubts us and it's us against the world" mantras elevated the program. I wouldn't be surprised with some regression this year, and even if there was I would still have confidence in Kelly having a huge year 3 and 4.
But Kelly appears to be a master motivator and knows how to squeeze the most out of his teams, so we could all be surprised this year. Either way, glad to have a coach of that caliber again.

Yeah I can't wrap my head around it. I get that you can rebuild a roster quickly but coach O had something that BK doesn't and that's a great qb. Maybe Nuss will be a great qb but he needs time. BK went with his qb last year mainly because of the questions at OL.

Coaches by nature are pessimistic, but BK is wrong. THIS is the year. Tons of production returning (particularly on offense). Virtually and entire starting OL coming back. One of the most experienced QBs (4 year starter) LSU has had in a long time. A favorable schedule (odd years have been better for LSU an over the last 20+ years). Every other contender breaking in a new QB.
The defense will have to come around with some new talent, but this is a season where expectations should be high. It doesn’t matter that this is only BK’s 2nd year. The pieces are there.

Same thing Mulkey said over and over. However Johnson never said that cause he knew he had the team.

Well….. bottom line is we beat AtM to close out regular season in 2022 the Tigers were in position to win it all in year #1. Stranger things have happened. It takes some good fortune no matter how good you are. I like our chances. All starts w FSU.
