It’s called a motivation tactic. I like this. The team will be hungry.

Nuss promises to be the next Myles Brennan. I know Nuss, unlike Myles, has the balls along with the talent, but somehow he's not the right fit for Kelly's Heroes.

He'll be gone from LSU after 2023-- that's my best actuamate.

Won the West last year, much earlier than anyone expected. Do you just enjoy being miserable all the time?

Much bigger numbers to manage with football (22 starters)

Agreed but the schedule sets up much better this year than nex. Our schedule in 24 is tuff.

For everyone saying Jay and Kim won I year 2…. I love college baseball…barely even knew we had a women’s basketball team while I was a student. And while I appreciate and am very proud of their championships, football is a different animal. Expecting a championship in year 2 for Kelly is just setting yourself up for failure.

With that said, I hope he wins the whole damn thing. Just enjoy the ride though.

Football is such a different game than baseball or basketball. In those sports, one or two superstars can get you over the top.

Football requires many and a damn good QB.
All while going up against similar caliber programs week after week

Since you can no longer shite on Jay Johnson, I see you have moved on to Brian Kelly.

There will be questions if we don’t seriously compete for a championship this year. With wide open recruiting and transfer portal, can’t use the roster excuse.

He does it to every coach. It's not exclusive to a certain sport.

The hunt for QB in the draft will intensify every year.

Next year we will be more complete depth wise. Most important thing is upward trajectory. Obviously we all hope we win a championship this year but the most important thing is seeing solid recruiting classes and guys getting better and better each season

ay did it in year two. The pressure is on Kelly. No excuses!

I know this was a joke but Baseball and WBB are two totally different animals in terms of roster construction.

From what he inherited to what it takes to build a championship roster year 3 would be a minor miracle and would require hitting on almost all of your top end talent while finding quite a few stars from the 3 star pool.

LSU had under 40 for that Texas Bowl

LSU had under 40 scholarship players dress out for bowl game, but we had more than 40 scholarship players on roster. Amazing how often people get this wrong.

Jay did it in year 2 after succeeding Paul Mainieri and taking over the Alabama football of baseball. Kelly followed up Special Ed after he took 2 years off to chase pussy. Also, let’s not act like baseball players aren’t a little more simple to manage personality and behavior wise than a bunch of football players

in all fairness the football program was in far worse condition than baseball. Plus the overall size of football compared to baseball makes it a bigger/ longer rebuilding effort.
