Talked with someone that runs 3 dining establishments in NOLA this am and he said it’s been like this and not really a reflection on essence. Mid summer is historically a SLOW time in Nola for tourists, so many places are not fully staffed

Naw, not my job to pay employees.
Pay them and charge it with the meal.
Take tipping out of the picture.
No more cheapskates, no more servers bitching and complaining.
Not being mean. Being logical. Seems it would work best for everyone involved.

Tourism as a whole is slow. Buffa’s is likely closing in couple weeks. Know a couple musicians struggling. We really haven’t gotten back to pre China Virus levels.

You need to specify fast food for him.
At some counter service places the cashier might spin that scary confusing machine around after paying with a credit card. Seems that freaks some people out and they feel pressured into tipping 20% and then they come to the OT to whine about it.
