And go ahead and assume I don't tip because you are a oversensational douche cliche on a message board.

Uptown Nola is essentially a ghost town from July 2-July 5.

The establishments would do better by increasing their wages for front of the house employees.

So you the customer will get shitty service and expensive food.

If you get shitty service now, you have the choice not to pay.

There will be a trade off.

Reading this thread reminds me of the Magic City Classic week in Birmingham. That week will try your soul if you’re in the service industry. Nothing like working 10 times as hard for a third of the money.

I assume nothing. Just saying, there are restaurants that fit your desired payment method. Me, I'd rather get good service. Tipping means the server gets the majority of his/her money from ME, not the restaurant. I prefer that setup. I want the server to be working for my money.

You would prefer to be served by people who couldn't care less about you because their pay comes completely from the house, and therefore they don't care if you have a good experience or not because they get paid the same either way. Those types of restaurants exist for you. Go spend your money there.

So you've deduced all this information from a message board post.

Jesus Christ, dude.

See my above post.. Actually, I'll paste it for you again.

My last mean out was at The Prescott in Kernersville, NC. The meal for my wife an I was around $120. I tipped appropriately.

Keep assuming I eat at the Golden Corral.

... and you're boringly predictable.

Now if you would like to discuss my original post on this thread about ideas to better the tipping industrial complex, I'd be interested.

Didn't know other countries did it this way. Is that why all the downvotes?

Of course. You yourself stated your preference. I simply pointed out what you're asking for. Whether or not you tip appropriately has no bearing on your stated preference not to tip.

ETA: To be clear, this is what you stated:

quote:

Naw, not my job to pay employees.

Pay them and charge it with the meal.

Take tipping out of the picture.

No more cheapskates, no more servers bitching and complaining.

Not being mean. Being logical. Seems it would work best for everyone involved.

It's not my responsibility that a company's employee is paid sufficiently. It's just not. There's nothing else to say. That is not and never should have been the consumer's responsibility.

I also said my idea will remove the possibility for people to stiff servers with no or little tip. Hence servers would be paid adequately through the employers. Diners still pay for that in raided menu prices.

If you get a bad server one night? It'll be okay.

Probably because of your douchey responses, not necessarily the substance of your proposal.

Essence patrons are largely upper middle class. They're dumb as are most people on this thread as well.

Doesn't mean you getting a tip. If servers are still taking the week off even as you mentioned it is the largely middle class attending then that tells you all you need to know. I think you need to take a look in the mirror and reconsider who is dumb. Just saying.

Sorry Bro when the truth hurts and you lash out at the Bawcomville whites . If the servers aren't showing up then there is a reason. Guessing the story is just made up by those evil whites.
