On top of the fact that he is a grade A shitbag personally, in a wholistic view of his tenure here, I find him to be stunningly underachieving. That was some the greatest accumulation of talent in a generation as evidenced by the success of individuals in the NFL, and yet they only won 1 championship they completely lucked arse backwards into and shite the bed in the second. Stubborn play calling at the expense of success and what seems to be more and more clear, a true lack of real football intelligence seem to back this up. It sure would have been interesting to see what other people could have done with that talent stockpile.

I was banned a few times because of my early takes on Les Miles. I took a lot of heat but I recognized him for what he was almost from the beginning.

Teams were physical, and he was a winner. Although, didn’t want to adapt to the changes in CFB, didn’t care about the QB position enough, his game-time management was always questionable, aaaand his image is now tarnished. Grateful for the positive he did tho.

I never thought of him as a great football head coach.

I was done with Les the second I walked out of Lambeau on September 3, 2016.

Les’ gibberish talk was his way of saying FU to the fan base and the media. His stubbornness with the offense was just stupid. He’s a petty man and I hope he is miserable now that he no longer gets the attention he craved and needed. But the thing that pissed me off the most was Les wearing a damn jacket at games in the BR heat.
I hope he loses all his money in a ponzi scam.

I think the results of this thread is pretty 50/50.
Proof that many tiger fans either aren't willing to come off what they thought they knew LM as (in other words, they fall into the "you can't teach old dogs new tricks" types).
Others recognize Les Miles for carrying Louisiana talent to a pinnacle before losing it all and living off what many of us thought he was. But, he made the university a lot of money carrying what Saban built here, which is truly why he was maintained as HC.
I think Orgeron proved that Les's stubbornness is really the only thing that kept the program from winning more national championships. Orgeron just couldn't maintain what he built. To be fair, most coaches couldn't.
Kelly may prove all of what I say to be absolutely true. We already know BK is a sustainer (like Les), but so much smarter (and that's obvious). Saban may have met his match, and I think the Tigers take over recruiting in just a few short years, keeping the talent from within but also using all his nationwide resources from when he was at ND.
Geaux Tigers!

He is a creeper
I still love alot of the teams/ players he had
Every MFin coach in history fricked assistants.
I'm not letting that bullshite tarnish his legacy.
Nor will I let some half-cocked bullshite accusations against Guice tarnish it.
I love Les Miles. Except for the Florida game in 2012. I didn't like him that day.
But by 2016 it was time to go.
We were at the Auburn 2016 game.
We were on the way home when we heard he was fired. It was time. Just like when Mainieri's time was up. You can support a coach and accept when it's their time to retire or move on.

The truth is he almost always had at least one great coordinator and recruited at a high level.
That’s how he did it…..just always felt like it could fall apart.

Kinda hard to reconcile such a goofy dude spending so much time slobbering big ol’ titties and not tripping up before he did, honestly…

Talk all you want the guy could recruit. Won with sabans players and damn near his own. If lsu doesn’t get screwed by playing bama again lsu wins the natty and he has two ships. If the allegations are true then for sure that’s a knock but sadly that’s common place now.

I always like him as a person but thought he was lacking as a coach.

Amazing how well this program did for 16 years headed up by two buffoonish piece-of-shite morons.

Fwiw … my LM autographed football was moved from my display case of other collector items to the top shelf (in the back somewhere ) of my bedroom closet… behind some old dirty hats I think…

I don’t know the man personally, so I can’t make that evaluation based on media and message board accounts.

Knowing we have THE GOAT TEAM from 2019 allows me to sleep easy at night...
