SHould have let him go to Arkansas when he flirted with them. It would have saved LSU a lot of grief and embarassment.

My disappointment with him began when he got outcoached by Saban in the championship and every year after that.

I was ready for him to go, but I enjoyed the hell out of his tenure (except the last four years, or so).

Les made us all believe he was a good family man. Years later we find out it was all a lie. I remember seeing him with his family at a regional or super regional. Sucks it ended like that but as my grandfather would ask me “ grandson how’s your conduct?” Right before he did he asked me again ( last conversation we had) I said “pappy what are you asking me? My grades, behavior what?” He said “it’s not what you do in the light of day but in the darkness when no one can see. That is you conduct”. Les looked good in the light but in darkness he was the complete opposite.

Great recruiter, but he significantly underachieved, relative to the elite talent he brought in. Terrible game planner / game manager.

My sentiments exactly. The Michigan drama with Gary Moeller didn’t come from nowhere. He’s always been a dirtbag, and so many here were fooled.

Now that his “lovable goofball” schtick has been blown all to hell, I don’t think much of him at all.

Gave us some elite memories both good and bad. We stuck with him for too long
