To spend less time doing non-work activities, bosses may want to consider shortening the work week as 80% of respondents said they would spend more time on assigned tasks if they only had to work four days each week.

I mean, it’s true. If there were only 32 hours in the work week, I would be productive 25% of the time instead of 20% of the time in a 40 hour work week

How many in person employees hang out at the coffee machine, gossip, and work on the office football pool?

Can confirm. My wife works from home 5 days a week. I work 4 10s. And that's assuming she doesn't know Jody Mon-Thur.

I could knock out the sex on my 10 minute break.

And still have time for a cigarette.

You'll notice there were zero stats about production falling off or missing deadlines. The workweek as we know it is archaic.

This.

I went from fully in office to fully remote once the pandemic hit (and will not be returning to the office). I often run an errand or hit the gym during what would technically be considered a work hour.

Guess what, I also bang out a shite ton of work well before and after what would be my in office hours, and I gladly get stuff done on weekends and holidays.

I would say this flexibility to work on demand easily makes me more productive than before.

Seems low. Must not account for government workers.

Oh noes! They are doing shite at home instead of fricking off on Facebook, Insta, and Tiktok; running out to smoke or grab a coffee every 30 minutes; hanging out in the break room bullshitting about nothing like they would being doing if they were trapped in the office.

Nearly 12% drank on company time and 10.5% admitted to a “nooner,” according to the study.

This number seems low for remote work.

The multitasking included 71.6% who did household chores, 37.4% who ran errands, 24% who took a power nap and 23% who went to the doctor, the survey found.

Did a lot of these while "working from home" and still got the same amount, if not more, work completed.

I was amazed at how much time was being wasted on little things that I didn't even realize, while at the office.

Im watching my coworker right now in an office have 3 Tabs of Facebook Messenger open on their work computer, Netflix on their phone, and taking a "personal" call every 20-30 minutes.

Workforce is in shambles.
