Are there any places in Louisiana besides Ruston that can support a Bucee’s?

Just wondering why one hasn’t been installed on I-10 yet.
Also, are there any places that Buccees builds that are on a non-interstate highways such as regular federal highways? Maybe Hwy 90 in the Houma area could support one?

Imagine how glorious it would be if just 10 or so Bucee's employees went and worked at a Popeye's. All the spicy, no pulling up. No throwing hands.

I stopped at the first Bucee's on my way to fish a few days ago

Somewhere along I-12 in Livingston, Tangipahoa, or St. Tammany would be good. Growing area with tons of traffic and plenty of white trash to work there.

I couldn’t imagine the populated cities of St Charles, Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Alexandria, and the North Shore area not being able to support a gas station.

Slidell…load up for your gulf coast trip after you get the hell out of the NOLA area.
Or for those coming from the East, load up for your trip out west so you won’t have to stop anywhere else in Louisiana.

To run a successful Buc-ee's you need a decent pool of employees to choose from who are going to be presentable, have good communication skills, professional, & are going to actually show up for work consistently. In the big picture in terms of Louisiana, Lincoln Parish is one of the only Parishes that fits these standards. It is the Western St. Tammany Parish of North Louisiana.

Tbh I don’t want one in Louisiana. I enjoy the novelty of stopping at one in TX or on the way to the beach

There should be one on the corner of I12 & I55. There is plenty of room and tons of traffic.

Anyplace along I-10 or I-12 or any interstate in LA could support a Bucee’s.
There are smaller ones inside Houston. Still big, but not the San Antonio/Baytown size.
Louisiana political stupidity cannot support a Bucees.

My money would be on the southeast quadrant of the Satsuma exit. About an hour away from the new one in Mississippi and about the only tract not already developed.
Whoever on the OT owns that needs to give Buc-ee's a call.

I’m sure there are quite a few. The population of Louisiana has the right diabetes profile to be right in Bucees wheelhouse and the people already enjoy living on gas station food. They’ll just need to start taking EBT if they don’t already.

West of Lake Charles along I-10 would be ideal to catch all the Texans heading to/from the casinos.

Supposed to be one at Millerville on 12. But the Bucees people found out how doing business in south Louisiana works when the parish tried to milk them for a bunch of extra bullshite and wouldn’t give any concessions. Then the flood happened and that area flooded and they noped out.

In Port Allen of the 415 exit. Right before the bridge back up starts.
You put on the billboard, “Last chance to pee for 5 miles / 1 hour”

IMO, absolutely
Between Hammond & DS (maybe Satsuma or Holden exits).

Either side of the Atchafalaya on I-10.
Bucees brand boudin balls.
Cater to all travelers and baws going fishing or hunting.

Don’t really want one in south Louisiana

People have already mentioned the way business is done there. It’s a combination of that and the culture. They would have a very hard time staffing it with people that would maintain their standards.
