Sorry if already posted. I haven't seen it, so I thought I'd share this.
In case people are curious and want to read something about it, link to NY Post
From the article:
Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Glenn Greenwald announced on Tuesday that his husband, Brazilian lawmaker David Miranda, has died at age 37 after battling a severe infection for most of the past year.
“It is with the most profound sadness that I announce the passing away of my husband,” Greenwald tweeted to his two million Twitter followers on Tuesday.
“He would have turned 38 tomorrow.”
Miranda, a native of Rio de Janeiro, was elected to Brazil’s federal congress in 2019. He is survived by Greenwald and their two adopted young sons.
Greenwald added: “His death, early this morning, came after a 9-month battle in ICU.”

He had a stomach infection of some type. Not cardio related.

I like Greenwald, but he does not have a husband, that is impossible. I will still be praying for him.

That’s absolutely horrible. I had no idea he was even sick. I remember seeing Glenn and David on television taking care of all the dogs at the animal shelter and thinking they were really making a difference and putting their compassion into play.
RIP.
RIP.

It’s a tragedy. Glenn is crushed, obviously, and they have two little kids.
I feel for them.
He was septic. Been in ICU for about 8 months. Abdominal infection.

R.i.p. 9 months in icu? I can't imagine.
I feel sympathy for Greenwald. That's 9 months of being on edge.

Antibiotics are nearing their end as far as usefulness due to drug resistance.
They better get to work on that instead of developing the 30th Covid booster that is subsidized by the taxpayers.

In 2005, Greenwald took a long vacation to Rio de Janeiro where he met David Miranda, a then 19-year-old who had spent his childhood in the Jacarezinho Favela. Days after they met, the couple decided to move in together; the two would later marry.
WTF

Oh Jesus Harold Christ, who gives a shite if he's gay? Geenwald has done more for this country than most of the people who don't approve of his lifestyle. He is one of the last real journalists left in this world and should be appreciated.

He died 1 day before his birthday, he was an orphan at a very young age.
So sad-also shows photos of their 2 adopted kids.
