Real service dogs. Not the stupid emotional support Yorkies that have an online certificate and Amazon vest.

Is it me or does it look like she could not care less? Odd circumstance for sure asking someone to give the dog a treat. almost like she knew the outcome.

So 1 out of 100 will be a misbehaved dog around other people when it could just stay home or in the car? The fact that some people won't go to Home Depot because they may have a fear of dogs, on top of the 1% chance of an incident, when there are few reasons to create that atmosphere is certainly a reason for some to care.
I enjoy dogs, so I personally don't mind them, but I respect those that may not, so my dogs stay home.

They look like lesbos.
I'll be honest, I love dogs, but in the moment, if a dog bit me in the face unprovoked I'd want to kill that fricking dog. And the owner... And Home Depot for allowing people to bring their god damn dogs into the store. That's stupid. You allow people to bring their dogs and you don't know what you are inviting into the store.
People don't need their dog to go shop at home depot.

You’re right about
Not bringing the dog to HD. But it’s not the dog’s fault. It’s the stupid owner and person who got close enough to the dog to get bitten in the face. That’s just as stupid.

I’ve never heard of a Great Dane biting anyone. They are one of the most gentle breeds, despite their size.
Great Danes are generally very gentle dogs (except for their tendency to whack you in the nuts with their tails when they get excited). They are a great breed.
That said, you’ll always have outliers. When I was a kid we had one that we think might have been abused by the breeder - she was like a year old when we got her. She wasn’t mean but she was jumpy, and you did NOT want to startle that dog.
Regardless, even well-tempered dogs can snap unpredictably under the right circumstances. The problem with a Great Dane is that if it does freak out, the owner is not likely to be able to control it or hold it back. And it doesn’t take much effort for a Dane to seriously injure someone.

I’m a dog person. My old dog does fine in public, always has. My younger dog, not so much.
Either way, I’ve always thought it would be a hassle to take a dog into a place like Home Depot. Never had any desire to take a dog shopping.

The baws on here say they love taking their dogs to Home Depot to socialize them though. I wonder if this is what they meant?

As an old insurance adjuster, I have seen many times that a business was deemed to have not acted on hazardous conditions. Example: if a customer spills a soda on the floor of a retail store and another customer slips on it 10 seconds later, the store will be held liable for failing to act on a hazardous condition.
Do you remember that elderly lady that spilled hot coffee on herself at the drive-through at McDonalds? Without rehashing all of the details of the case, McDonalds was held liable of not acting to resolving a hazardous condition. There were over 40 complaints from people who burned themselves on their coffee over the previous 12 months, and 700 complaints over a ten year period. McDonalds did nothing to address the problem, hence, the jury award.

My dog is the most non-aggressive dog I have known. She is perfectly fine around people and small children.
Having said that she absolutely hates stores, even the pet stores. So she stays home.

Why the hell do you need a dog in Home Depot? Or is this owner someone who is scared of life and feels she needs an attack dog with her at all time?
