Need another big bat in the lineup. Couldn’t hurt.

2 way players should be a normal thing. Specialization in sports is annoying. If you can ball then ball.

It’s not worth the risk. What happens when he gets HBP and breaks his hand? Or slides and blows out a knee?

How can you look at this team and think an extra power hitter is the missing piece?

Last thing we need Skenes to do when he’s not pitching. Not a good decision considering we have one starter out for the season already & Shores dealing with some injuries.

Y’all are fricking idiots.

The kid is the best pitcher in the country and easily the most valuable arm on this staff.

At the same time, our offense leads the country in SEVERAL categories. Offenses have off nights. It happens.

But sure, let’s trot Skenes out there with a bat and just pray he doesn’t take 95 off the hand. Let’s go as head and risk completely annihilating this already thin pitching staff. Sounds like a reasonable idea.

They don’t understand what they are looking at. Every pitcher should strike out 27 batters a game and every at bat should be a home run

I wish the designated hitter would go away entirely.

If Hurd and Little were living up to the hype and Ack and Shores weren't hurt then yea maybe. But we saw tonight what this team is without Skenes. Do you really want to risk that?

As it stands, it appears lsu doesn't have the pitching the prevent getting blown out one game in a three-game series. Risking Skenes at all to add another bat to the lineup doesn't make much sense. Risk-reward.

Do you seriously think that what this team is lacking? One more bat? How in the world could you risk a generational arm for a few at bats? Especially how dependent we are on his starts.

I don't think the coaches oor anyone wants to take any chances at all, even the very slightest with having another pitcher out for anytime, especially the best pitcher in the country when our lineup is definitely not the problem

It makes sense only if he is a huge improvement over the guy he would be replacing. Who is the RH DH/1st baseman he would replace? Jones, right? Or against a LH pitcher he would replace Beloso or Pearson.

If he hit like Tommy White this would be worth it, but the evidence points to him being more in Jones’ category, so no real improvement. You would take bats away from Jones/Beloso/Pearson, make them disgruntled and more likely to leave, and get nothing for it except an elevated risk of injury to the nations runaway best pitcher.

Negative… could you imagine our weekend rotation without him in it? It would be UGLY. Our offense is the least of our problems..
