I could never get past Jim Joyce ruining Armando Galarraga’s perfect game. The whole “I know I pitched a perfect game even though the records don’t show it” thing is so unsatisfying. Change the damn records to show a perfect game, especially with the introduction of instant replay.

The Sea of Hands game

Miami was on their way to a three-peat (and fourth straight SB appearance). Kenny Stabler leads a last second touchdown drive against the No Name Defense to knock the Dolphins out of the playoffs. Ten year old me was devastated. Growing up in South Florida at that time you just believed the Dolphins would never lose.

Refs gave SC a touchdown, but no instant replay back then.

1996 World Series against the New York Yankees. Wohlers gave up a 3-run home run to Jim Leyritz. Would have gone up 3-1. I was at game 5 where Smoltz lost 0-1 to close out AFC Stadium.

1990 playoffs Montana getting wrecked and 49ers getting beat by the Giants due to a fumble late in the game. Montana's last game as a 49er.

My parents for better or worse raised me a Vikings fan.

15-1 greatest Vikings team of all time. Best FG kicker of all time. Chip shot to go to a Super Bowl that we would have won.

Damn you Gary Anderson.

LSU losing to Indiana in the 1987 Elite 8. I still replay it in my head today.

Also, Auburn football 1994 the Jamie Howard interception game, I was there to see it live. Devastating.

Louisville vs Rutgers 2006. Cardinals blow 25-7 lead and lose on a RU game winning field goal by Jeremy Ito. We are playing in the BCS Championship game had we won that.

ISU over Okie State
If OSU can make a field goal , LSU becomes the first school to win 3 BCS national championships.

You can argue that the true outcome eventually lead to Joe Burrow, but still.

I used to think is was things like the PP7 interception at Baja, or the interference at Auburn on Doucet, but nothing tops the NOLA No call.

I travel a lot, and run into people all the time in airports, but if I ever see Roger Goddell flying commercial, you’ll see me on the news for knocking him out.

2002 World Series Game 6. Even after winning 3 of them and becoming the team of the next decade. When Dusty gave Russ Ortiz the game ball in the 6th or 7th inning, I knew the Angels in the outfield were destined to make an appearance. Not to mention that godforsaken rally monkey. That one will always hurt.

My 2nd team is the Rangers. And even after blowing the 9th, Hamilton comes through with the "game winning" bomb top of the 10th.Nope, Rangers get a strike away again. Only to blow it. AGAIN!

January 11, 1982. Joe Montana to Dwight Clark, "The Catch". I was 9 yeas old and that play to beat the Cowboys broke my heart.

Alex Smith to Vernon Davis 2012

Nola no call

Patrick Peterson’s no call on his interception in 2009 against Alabama

1988 Notre Dame - Miami “Catholics vs Convicts” failed two-point conversion. It plus a lot of “liquid courage” in Atlantic City cost me $2,000 which was a lot to me back then
