The saints could win 5 more super bowls and I don’t know that I’ll ever get over this. The most defeated I have ever felt after a sporting event.
I could deal with the Minnesota miracle, the 49ers divisional game with alex smith, and many playoff losses. But the no call was stolen from us.

Clint v Tennessee in '98. Although 99 was beautiful. It was my best day of my childhood.

1999 NFC Division round Redskins at Tampa. Blew a 13-0 lead in the 4th. Then had a chance at a field goal with under 2 but a bad snap cost them. To this day I still think Brad Johnson could have ran the 3 yards. Then he ends up in Tampa and the rest is history.

Louisville vs Rutgers 2006. Cardinals blow 25-7 lead and lose on a RU game winning field goal by Jeremy Ito. We are playing in the BCS Championship game had we won that.
Back with college football on Thursday night meant something.
As with everything ESPN touches, it turned to shite.

The 2011 national championship was taken from LSU too, not by the refs (well you could argue the refs for the Oklahoma State-Iowa State game), but by the pollsters.

So the people who award the national championship decided not to give it to LSU.
Got it.

Iowa State upsetting Oklahoma State, forcing LSU into a rematch with Bama
NOLA No-Call
2021 West Monroe-Zachary football quarterfinal (Ponchatoula would've beaten West Monroe or Destrehan)
Not involving my team:
1998 Big 12 Championship Game (though you could argue it led to the rise of Drew Brees)
2009 British Open
Kentucky-Wichita State in 2014
Curry slipping in Motiejunas' sweat after his UMVP season
2020 NCAA tournament cancellation (for Dayton and FSU's sake)

Oklahoma State was ranked ahead of Alabama in the computers in the final week of the regular season; it was the human voters who pushed Alabama over the top.

by then I was already so disgusted by refs it didn't shock me.
video replay helps now but as noted pp7 swipe was called against LSU after a replay.
my personal worst was a world series. dusty and the game ball. should have brought Kirk Reuter in.

Might as well tell everyone else in this thread to get over the sporting moments they've described as well.

I was a senior in high school; center field. Regional game to get to state. 7th inning, runner on second, 2 outs, scoreless game.
Batter hits a one-bouncer to center. Runner takes off and rounds 3rd for home. I scoop, throw a bead home, and my pitcher cut it off, 3rd base side of the mound!!! I'll never know. We lost. 1-0. Now I'm over. Thx.

Most others in this thread are reliving and discussing the moments that affected them, but you're still making LSU's case.

The helmet catch. I'm sure David Tyree is a good person, but he can go ahead and frick off.
Patrick Peterson interception that wasn't ruled an interception. That was the day I lost all respect for SEC officiating and figured out they will play favorites.

You just learned this in 2009?
