LSU should have gone for it on 4th and 2 late in the 4th Quarter with a four point lead against Auburn in 1997.
The Tigers had Cecil Collins, who ran for 234 yards up to that point, Rondell Mealey, and a very mobile QB in Herb Tyler to choose from, all capable of picking up two yards.
Instead, the Bayou Bengals punt the ball back to Dameyune Craig and Co, and the rest is history. Auburn goes to Atlanta, and the Tigers went to Shreveport.

All of this. 1-9-12 was a kick in the dick, but this one always pissed me off more. I don’t think I’ve ever melted harder after a game. That being said, if we even get one of those, we don’t get the greatest team and the greatest season in the history of college football.
All that being said, one loss that a lot of people forget about that pissed me off probably way more than it should have was the Chicken Bowl vs. Clemson on New Year’s Eve that year. Jeremy Hill was running all over Clemson’s defense until the fourth quarter when Les outright refused to give the ball to him, and Clemson came back from being down 24-13 in the fourth to win by 1 on a last second field goal.

You win that one and the others likely never happen. Everything changes.

Either that or lendale white coming up a yard short on 4th and 2. I have no problem with the play call fwiw, 4th and short was always lendale (although I suppose Texas knew what was coming).

2016 NCAA National Championship Game.
UNC's Marcus Paige hits an incredible, acrobatic 3 point shot to tie the game with Villanova with 4.7 seconds to play.
Kris Jenkins then proceeds to hit a 3 point buzzer beater to end the game.
The only saving grace is that UNC came back and won the Championship the next year with the same core players.

FSU-UF 1997 "Green is behind the defense!"
63 yard catch with 2 minutes left in the game and FSU up 29-25. All we had to do was not give up that one play, and we did. That team was loaded and I think we were better than Nebraska and Michigan. I was in 9th grade and sat there squalling like a 3 year old

28-3. Although I don’t get mad anymore. It’s just laughable. If the Braves wouldn’t have won a title prolly woulda been pissed still.

Threads like these are invented for the Saints. There are so many BS moments that I still haven't gotten over as a Saints fan.
- Beastquake to lose in the playoffs to the 7-9 Seahawks
- Alex Smith to Vernon Davis
- Minneapolis Miracle
- No call
- Kyle Rudolph push off
- Jared Cook fumble
- Mark Ingram running out of bounds a yard short of the first down against the Bucs to miss the playoffs

2005 Masters - Only time have ever been. Huge Tiger fan. Followed Tiger all day and saw every shot…but at #15 tee, we made the decision to skip ahead to #18 tee box 20 minutes later we heard the roar.
Every time they replay that chip, a part of me wants to cry.

Carl Edwards getting wrecked and thrown into the catch fence at Talladega by Brad K. He had that race won.
