Spinoff for sure. Also the girl power theme where she doesn't need to be subject to those two idiots fighting over here and caving to their demands.
They could spinoff about 30 other characters including Will the Kitman and it would be 100x more interesting than this. We have dozens of shows like this already and most of them are terrible.

AFC Richmond but I would watch.
"The Richmond Way" was the title of the book and would be great for the continuing series.

I think a series about maintaining continued success (Nick Saban) vs. a one-hit wonder (Coach O) could be interesting.

Really, they could do this with Trent and he goes to a different team each year. Think quantum leap but with sports.

Watched it last night, it was very sad but didn’t seem like it is over
I get the impression from sedeikas that this sadness is just as much him leaving the show as Ted leaving the team
He is in a tough divorce and custody battle with Olivia Wilde and filming for months in England doesn’t fit too well with his parental obligations

The music was so good in the finale. Almost like a character in itself. Much like Scrubs used to do.

Yeah it will be called The Richmond Way I’m sure.
There’s a reason Ted told him to change the title.
A lot of people here won’t like this, but I’m guessing AFC Richmond is going to kind of phase out, and the new iteration of the show will focus on Rebecca and Keely starting up the team for the Women’s League.
They can operate out of the same facility to start, so Higgins will definitely be involved and we will probably see some of the male players and coaches in episodes until they figure out the right mix and who stays on permanently.
Beard being HC of the women would actually lend to some pretty hilarious situations imo.
Anyway, the finale was pretty much fan fiction, and I mean that in a good way. It really felt like they were trying to give us everything we wanted.
Other than the Keely Roy Jamie triangle I think they did a great job.
And I actually think that was on purpose because Keely is going to have such a big role in what comes next for the show, and they probably don’t know if Roy or Jamie will agree to come back yet.
Here’s to a great ending to a great show, or at least this chapter.

Let's hope they made sure to get the rights to those songs in perpetuity.
My wife gets so mad when she's streaming a Scrubs episode on Hulu and the music has been changed from what originally aired. She watches that show like how people now watch The Office on repeat so she knows it well enough that its impossible for her to not notice. I'm probably going to have to rip her old worn out DVD set and put in on a thumb drive for her.
As for the finale, it was a bittersweet but solid ending. I did really enjoy the bit during Ted's halftime speech where he said he enjoyed getting to know everyone's stories and then the show immediately cut to two players who have barely ever gotten any screen time.

i had no idea this was a thing.
Scrubs soundtrack was always a huge part of the show. that sucks

It’s going to be A LOT of gay lesbian shite.

If we get them naked it will be worth it.

Ted should have given Rebecca the cookie recipe

I first heard of this being a problem a long time ago when Northern Exposure seasons were being released on DVD. Fans started complaining about original music being replaced. This was another show where the music was integral to the experience.
Here's an old article that gives many examples:

Him not being in Beard’s wedding scene, with everyone else positioned awkwardly
That was the one thing that I didn't like about the finale. No way Ted would miss Beard's wedding. NFW.

Who was the guy that got hit in the face in the crowd?
The guy Rebecca dated in that one episode.

I dont think anyone would like that.
I don’t think you can dump the team and have a successful show.

I think this is sadly true
