So I had to take cash to a materials company for a construction project and needed the materials immediately. I got cash from the bank and drove directly to the material store (Hempstead hwy) for Houston baws. Gave them the money then headed to beltway…stopped at gas station and was inside for a couple minutes and someone smashed my passenger window and rummaged through the console then left. As far as I can tell they didn’t take anything of value. Cops told me that they were “jugging” and likely had been tailing me since I left the bank. I don’t remember if I walked out of the bank holding an envelope but they did they are good at spotting people who have withdrawn cash…and then follow them.

A guy in my neighborhood had gone to an atm and stopped at a site with his kid on the car when a couple dindu’s smashed the window and looked for the cash for a second before they took off.

They should be shot on the spot. How long will civilized people continue to tolerate this ghetto hoodrat bullshite that plagues every city in America?

I saw a guy who was shot on Hempstead Hwy.

And why in your bright mind would you leave cash in your car unattended?

If I were your boss, I'd take it out of your check

We live in an almost completely lawless society anymore.

I'm a paranoid dude. If I ever get more than a couple of hundred out ill take 4 right turns to see if I'm being followed. This is a paranoia of mine.

I went to the bank yesterday and made a deposit then went to the aTm machine and withdrew $20.
Next I went to homeless Depot across the street and bought a tub of plumber's putty. My truck was not broken into, but this could have been me.

I am not missing living in Houston.
Sure this could happen anywhere, but I don't hear near as many stories like this where I live now.

You drove a for a while. How do people not notice someone is following them. It’s basic self awareness. Call me crazy but I’ll never stop somewhere or pull into my driveway if someone I don’t know has made the last few turns behind me. Paranoia is safety.

That piece of shite will eventually go to jail if he decides to walk through the capital. We can only hope.

Three decades ago when I was robbed at gunpoint in Houston, I mentioned to the police I had been to my bank's ATM, and they immediately asked if I had gone direct to the shoppein center where I was robbed. Ans. No, I was robbed after shopping for half an hour.

They were trying to get the perps who followed people leaving ATMs back then.

No one is safe. Neighbor a few doors down from me stopped by to warn me that she found brick in her living room yesterday when she made it home. Someone stole all of her jewelry. I live in a rural area with very low crime rate, was surprised to hear this.

A logical outcome to robbing someone is that one might be seriously injured or killed.

It had to be hell before widespread banking where you had to carry cash (probably in the form of coins or gold) through some pretty undeveloped areas. Places like ancient Rome, Medieval England and heck even the early days of the U.S. old West.

My catahoula goes with me everywhere. I leave keys in the truck with the windows half way down. Somebody gets close she loses her shite. It’ll take a brave soul to open the door.
