re: Why have crowds become more belligerent and vocal at golf tournaments
Posted by Big L on 5/17/26 at 8:56 pm to tigerinthebueche
Anonymity…it’s been like that T sporting events my entire life. In the past t was impossible to figure out who someone was or get them on film and that encouraged people to say crazy stuff in crowds. Now, even though it’s easy to figure out who people are, they don’t do it. If they just kept a camera on the crowds and used technology to call out the low class clowns, it would all come to a stop. None if this happens at the masters because other patrons will point out the clowns and get them ejected. They need to do this intensely until the culture changes and these idiots stop attending golf tournaments

Joe continues to prove he has no read on his pitching staff. How many times has he left a guy in 2 batters too long?

Oh shite…Altuve down. Not good. Maybe he should stand a little closer to the plate so he doesn’t have to blow out a oblique just to make contact
Munoz gonna pitch both 9 and 10 and win

Wtf happened to yordan? Dude looks totally lost up there lately. That K to end last nights game was horrendous, and he Ks in his first A mb tonight
When we face Kirby it’s a stone cold lead pipe lock of the century loss. I doubt we score at all
I watched my so sons high school baseball team coach do the same thing. After 3 clean innings in a decisive third game, he let the starting pitcher walk the bases loaded before pulling him. Kid who came in to relieve him put in a terrible spot..they scored 3 and that was te difference. I think the coach must watch a lot of Astros games.

We have to lead the league in new pitchers walking the first guy they face
Espada clearly is not respected by the players, and has terrible instincts. As much as I disliked (at fmtines) the robotic analytical approach of Hunch, he at least had a strategy. Espada is lost and has been since day1.
See of Omar can get better results from the sand guys, get a new GM to bring some energy

I think I’d fire Dana and espada and see if Omar has what it takes

Did they get the girl before she went through the surgery? If so this is a very good news story. Maybe the girl will have a chance to become normal after her wacko dad and his partner are in prison.
Can’t believe he used king here
Can’t believe he threw another fastball.
Can’t believe Brice made such a poor effort on that ball
Oh wait…actually I can believe all of that

How slow was the runner going from second not to beat yordsn getting thrown out at second?

Man we suck arse. A two out seeing eye single completely blows up Burrows and he implodes to give up 3. Embarrassing

This guy has thrown 3 balls to Diaz that he swung at all of them. If someone doesn’t ask JE about letting Diaz bat to start the ninth then they all need their credentials revoked
Man I am developing an unhealthy hatred for Diaz
Yeah this team should be forced to take until they have two strikes
I wax so geeked to watch the masters and Astros and both have been huge embarrassing failures.

Why are we not in the sewers again? This team doesn’t deserve a new thread
Yeah I understood what you were saying. I was explaining why the other poster didn’t understand. It’s a just a weird way to say it. You also haven’t really explained why you don’t like Burns which is odd as I am not aware of anything about him that makes him unlikable.
I’ve never heard anyone say “top 75 favorite” in regards to anything, so it’s pretty easy to misinterpret what you said. Do you have a top 75 favorite flavors of ice cream? Top 75 favorite cars?
Sam burns is statistically one of the best putters in the world, and he’s a good dude from a great family who represents Louisiana well. Give me someone like him over a bubba Watson type character every time. And calling him a 1 round wonder is a bad misrepresentation. He's won several tournaments and been in the mix now at 3 majors in the past 3 years after 54 holes. I hope he wins tomorrow but he’s surrounded by fellow Ryder cup players and guys who consistently play well in this tournament so it won’t be easy.
